The most I've won in a day happened in a cash game session a year ago at Ameristar in Black Hawk, CO. I was there for a friend's 50th and sat down with $300 at a 1/3/100 max table. I stood up with around $1350 after two hours (had to go to bday dinner) in the luckiest session I've ever played. I literally hit 4 or 5 sets and was getting yelled at for it.

My brother and his wife were tossing around the idea of getting some tickets to see the Montreal Canadiens play the Leafs in Toronto and found tickets on Groupon for a mere $700 EACH. So, attending that game would have cost them an easy $1500. I'm sure it can be done cheaper but not much cheaper. That would probably cover a lot of time at the slots.

My brother and his wife were tossing around the idea of getting some tickets to see the Montreal Canadiens play the Leafs in Toronto and found tickets on Groupon for a mere $700 EACH. So, attending that game would have cost them an easy $1500. I'm sure it can be done cheaper but not much cheaper. That would probably cover a lot of time at the slots.

Hopefully, your brother and his wife think of something useful to spend that $1500 on - like maybe his brother? My wife and I might take that much money to a casino for a two day/one night visit, and still come home with money (or not - if our luck is running bad.) That gives us about 12-16 hours of play time (poker / slots), a couple of comped meals, and a comped night in the hotel.
