If you have a free bonus then sure. If you have money to waste and nothing better to do with the money then sure. If you’re doing it for personal enjoyment on special occasions then sure. If you’re doing it every day to try and win money, I think you need to re-evaluate your life. Slots are not good for people with gambling issues as I have seen the effect it has on people. Sorry to put a downer on this thread, but this is my honest opinion.

I do not see the casino with good eyes, they are made to stand to win and have nothing you can do about it. Very different from poker, where the bank will win for sure, but you have to change it.

From what I know from watching documentaries, this is where Casino's make most of their revenue so I don't think they can be "beat". I think they can be fun to play casually but they create a huge problem as so many people get really addicted to them, as I know from personal experience!!

They are made for only one reason, and that is for the house to make money not you.

If you want to gamble do it with something that you have some control over, like poker.

You might hit "a big one" when playing slots but in the long run the house always wins. These machines are all computer-controlled, even the ones with mechanical spinning reels, and the payout rate can be changed remotely since they are all networked.

The thing is, that payout rate is never going to be greater than 100%, because that would guarantee that the casino loses money over the long run. They don't build all those huge casinos in Las Vegas based on the profit margins from the restaurants.

You're being suckered when you are waiting with anticipation for those reels to stop. The result of that spin was determined by the computer within milliseconds after you hit the button and the reel action is just there to build suspense.

Not profitable in long run.

If you play them then they will be a leak in your poker budget.

They will let you win at first. But the owners keep track of your spending and winnings and will get it out of you in the long run.

Also some places are infamous for not paying out slot machine jackpot winnings. Claiming there was a fault in the machine.

How many times do you walk through a casino and you hear all the bells and whistles and lights going off from the slots? How many times do you hear nothing? Don't play them at all when it is quiet. lol - that's my biggest tip.


Watch how you have "near misses" of big winnings on slot machines just to encourage you to put in more money!

Personally I don't want to play any games where they have to tell me that I win. I want to know when I should win.

Slots suck ... it's a big scam and the casino makes out like crazy ........ the ones by the door go off all the time, but the payout is never good ... they just want all the noise to show people how lucky everyone is ...The slots further into the casino pay much better but hardly ever go off ... they are addictive and even the sounds of the coins hitting the pan have been made to be pleasing to you in some way ... honestly they are like a drug ... you would see little old ladies that couldn't be bothered to flick the ash off their ciggie because the only thing they had time for was pushing the button

All that said usually after a day or night of playing poker I will get a cup of coins and just dump it in, but I could never sit their for hours feeding them like some people .. you will never win .. but it's fun for blowing off steam ... for me it is far more exciting to waste money on the roulette table

I find them to be quite profitable when the software is malfunctioning. Doesn't happen that often, but when it does, go crazy!

Slot machines are one of the worst propositions in the casino. Go for roulette if you want a no-skill game with better odds. Neither will be profitable.

They seem kind of exciting at first - all the flash and dazzle, the sounds. It seems like there's an endless variety of games, but it doesn't take long to sense that maybe the variety is only on the surface. I'm no regular, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
