Cash or Tourney?

I agree, that is the same, I prefer tournaments but likewise, with a busy family I find it easier to play hour or two cash sessions here amd there than 4 to 6 hour tournaments.

This topic been discussed so many times. My personality is more keen playing tournaments. I can’t play cash games full time. It’s just to much of a grind for me. Tournaments give me more energy. The strategy changes during the course tourney. I like the strategy of stealing blinds that’s is not in the cash game.
Of course deep stack tourneys have the feel of cash games so it’s good to be proficient at both

I play cash games when I'm grinding or don't have time for a long session. I usually play tournaments when I'm zoned in and can put in a long session. I'm a weekend warrior so that's usually when I play tournaments.

Cash is the best I have started with sit & go of stars 990 0.02cts until I win several I went up to 360 when I win several I kept going up to 1 dollar and later long tournaments give more profits but I have not put any bomb to continue testing

That's it))) I lost all my tournament winnings in cash games) On PS, the minimum withdrawal is $ 100, as I won there $ 94 in the tournament and could not win in the cash game 6 more to withdraw, in the end I had 0 on the balance) Still I will only play tournaments for a while now)

One of the think i don't like PS. I started to play cash for the same reason there, but i made it 100+.
I like MTT, PKO is almost every tournament i play.

in this matter, everyone has to find their way because individual features determine a good strategy and fun in the game and no one will do it for us, there are suitable people who deal with this issue more professionally

I like them both, but I confess that I feel more comfortable in tournaments. Because the losses are fixed and the profits can be greater.

I like cash better and it's standard of poker. Tourney is sometimes ridiculous because I have to beat more than 10000 people to be a winner. And usually many of 10000 people is not a serious players and they just take all-in without thinking. That means I need to get helped by luck a lot to win.

I mostly play tournaments. Poker is about having fun for me. So tournaments are a lot of fun. Plus you can try many different strategies to see which one suits you best.

For me is tournaments everyday and every night cash games take my bankroll really fast I guess I haven't studied enough to win at low levels also is more patience training cause sometimes I just lost it so I prefer tournament where I can just loose my chips and buy-in heheh

I have been playing Poker for a good few years now and when I first started it was on Facebook for fun money. I picked up a lot of bad habits because you can shove all-in with any muck and if you are busted out you wait until the next day and pick up more free chips.
When I went on-line to start playing serious poker I had never played a live game in a Casino or a pub, and I found it hard to get very far and kept losing mainly due to the bad habits picked up in fun money games.
I took a few on-line tutorials like Pokerstars School, read a few books and began to realise what I was doing wrong. Soon I was making the money in some free-rolls and built up a small bankroll, and then started to play Sit and Go tourney's. I did so well on-line I decided to take it to the next level and started playing in a few local pubs and clubs. winning some games and losing others but making a profit overall. I was still playing the odd game on-line, but Live games is what I really loved.
I tried my first Cash Game in a local pub and the difference between tourney play and cash game play was amazing but I must admit I took advantage of the fact that I didn't drink while I was playing and could take money off the drunkest opponents easily.
I started playing cash games on-line and started to lose heavily, losing 20 to 30 dollars in a single day, so stopped playing on-line for a long time.
Due to this terrible pandemic Covid19 I have returned to on-line poker and have managed to recoup the money I lost and almost double my bankroll in a few months but that is due to MTTs and Sit and Go games, In my honest opinion I would say stay away from cash games and stick with what you know and play best.

I definitely prefer tourneys over cash. Even if it's a sit n go i would still prefer that over cash games. Not a fan of one guy building 10x the buy in and donking any two decent cards.The game type that I see the most return is either Heads Up or Sit and go's with one table.
