Yeah,,, most of the time Kicker is not good. AND I don't know thia hand brings me trouble so I almost stopped playing with K8

1. Can hit a set which has disproportionate power. Including full house draw.
2. Cheap immediate draw on flop.
3. Insidious set hand.
4. Minimal reverse implied odds.
5. Makes nut wheel while blocking.
6. Maximum implied odds.
7. Easy to play.
8.Minimal pull unlike aces.
9. Has 50% equity against AKs.
10. Does OK in an All in situations.

There is like 5 other reasons but can't remember them.

So many people answering after only reading the title.. This is kind of a hard one, the K8 is suited and K is higher than J, but the J9 has the chance of making a straight with both cards. think if it was a cash game and heads up I would want the K8ss but if it was 6 handed I would want the J9o. If it is a tournament I'd want the K8ss.

I would say k8s is a slightly better hand as tou have the power of the king hi as wall as the k hi flush opportunity

Don't know why this is a relative question besides holding AA or KK. I'll answer it this way. It doesn't matter which two hole cards. Why, because any two can win at anytime.

If that is not good enough, I'll go with the luck angle. I feel lucky with any two, knowing the table, my position and who has came into the hand.

They are both mediocre hands with significant reverse implied odds. Although I'd choose the K8s because it usually has like 35% all in value. It has the king,albeit that is its greatest weakness at a competent table.

I like it this way: Q7, you can have different suits, but of course it's better to be the same, I also like KK, strong pair.

Always hand higher - in sluachaya K and 8 plus and of the same suit, much more than the other hand, it's obvious, but each has a different style of game, maybe that's why poker is such a great game!
