How Does Your Family and People Close Relate to Your Poker Game?

For many people, poker has become an integral part of life. Most refer to him as a hobby, but some spend online day and night.
For me, poker is like a hobby, and my family does not mind my game. We go out into nature, go fishing, and the rest of the time I spend on poker.

It's fun and rest for me. I play little +/-, sometimes dep 10-15 usd, sometimes cashout 100-200 usd, it's cheaper than alcohol.
But my wife is not agreed with such a rest

My wife encourage me contine in my area game because I win a lot of game. In internet people goes to much crazy with K-10 Q-8 etc.. My wife want to be a part of my success in this game . I read a lot, I participate a lot of tourney in live and internet game and she want push me more in but presently I'm in break mode. Not a break time just a slowly process to join the big event . That my goal and everybody around encourage me .

I'm lucky . I get time when I'm home alone so I can play then .I do play when the wife is home but try to balance it to spend lots of time with her as well. so I get 2-3 hours a day and 8-12 on weekends if I'm home. Right now I'm off work pulled my back so I get 8-10 hours a day I'm home alone .So It's all poker time for now .

I play poker recreationally as a hobby right now. It doesn't affect my life or family at all. I do want to enhance my game but I'm taking my time, when I'm able I play, read books and watch other players play to continue learning about the game.

Well my parents are christians so initally they had a problem with me gambling, but they come to accept the fact that it is a part of me and it is something i love. I do it at the low stakes and wont ever hit high stakes unless my bank roll 100x+ any buyin so they dont have to worry about me making rash decisions and going broke on the poker. However my brother also play, very good player, places well in the community live tournys we have here on our island. But all in all most of my family who knows dont mind and most support it 100%

If it do not make me trouble with my work they say nothing but only if there are no any problems.(Once i didn't go to work because i play tournament)))

My wife is ok with it as long as it doesn't interfere with "us" time. my youngest who is 11, loves watching me play, and he's taken an interest in learning. My 14 year old knows how to play but doesn't seem to be really into it but, I could walk away from the screen and let either play for a while and not worry about it. When my mom was alive, she actually thought it was neat and started watching WPT and such to see what all the hype was about. My dad was pretty indifferent. Most of my close friends know I play and they're all cool with it.

Many friends who are passionate about poker understand what I feel when I want to play it all the time and those like my family and other friends who do not know how to play or do not care about it think that it is another game, which I really do not share. Poker is already part of my daily life haha

I don't really talk about poker with anyone I know, except my dad. I wish I knew more people irl that are passionate about poker as well. My partner is supportive that I play, provided I don't blow a bunch of money on it (despite having rather wonky bankroll management I'm pretty good with my money otherwise).

My family and people close to me do not believe in my haste and treat my poker negativity negatively ((In our country poker is very poorly developed and people know almost nothing about it.) It is customary for us to make a living by traditional means, but I am sure that I will succeed and I will become a professional and earn a poker game!
