Luck in poker is an integral part of the game, I often hear from players that it is impossible to learn to play it, because a large proportion of luck and bad luck, and I often try to somehow explain to people that you can reduce tau and increase the chances of winning and luck, but they are fixated only on themselves

Luck in poker can definitely play a big role, especially in the short term, but skill and strategy are generally what separate the best players from the rest. Poker is a game of incomplete information where you're constantly making decisions based on probabilities, psychology, and your read on other players. Luck is the random factor, like getting dealt a good hand or hitting the right card on the river.

Luck in poker is only in the short term, because it is a mathematical game and when you place profitable plays in the long term, the results will appear in proportion to your profitability.

Poker would be boring if we knew all the information all the time. Since we do not have perfect information at all times, it keeps things interesting.

Everyone has the right to their own opinion. I absolutely agree with the statement that luck is an integral part of the game, and my opinion will not change whether you explain something to me or not, because I have been playing poker for more than 8 years, and I just know that without luck, my results will never be good enough. Yes, a player who is skilled enough can make money consistently, but the down periods will offset the up periods. Therefore, poker without luck is a waste of time.

In the short term, luck is necessary, but in the long term what differentiates players are their ways of playing, you can't always be lucky, so strategies will be created to throw people with worse hands than ours or with lower equity, thus preventing everything from being luck

Luck is important not only in poker, but also in life. Not everyone is lucky enough to meet the right person, find themselves in a good team, or find a good friend.

It's not luck when winning, it's skill.
When losing it's bad luck.

Luck is part of poker and there is no denying it, but that doesn't mean you can not be a winning poker player with a good strategy.

If someone tells you that it's impossible to learn to play, they probably just don't want to put in the effort to learn. But we must honestly admit that online poker is 50% luck and 50% skill.

The deeper the stacks and the bigger the range of blinds, the luck factor is less and skills are more important. I like that CardsChat tournaments offer players the opportunity to reach their potential, rather than rely on luck, as for example in satellites on PokerStars. :)

Luck is a factor and you cannot avoid it, but you can do many things about it. You can use the informations of the game, you can use maths to understand better the game and control it till a level. You can play with the psychology of each player and use the bluff. And luck will still be a factor but things will be more clear.

...poker is measured by the best decisions and with that in the long term the player will be considered profitable, as we do not control the result... those who depend on luck will always be losers, therefore, I usually say that 10% in poker depends on luck and 90% depends on your technique, skill and knowledge of the game.

Really , its all luck.... two random cards dealt to 8 to 10 random players in a random order of play? Followed by 3 random cards, then 2 more random cards.

At best its who can guess the best.... Call it skill, situational awareness, tactics, but it is definitely random.

there isn't too many players willing to study the game. So is normal they keep thinking that way.

I have long been convinced that explaining things to other people is a waste of time. That's why I focus on myself and don't pay attention to critics or opponents' comments. As for luck, I can say for sure that without it you will not succeed in anything, even drinking a beer :)

.... yeah this very true, much easier to blame luck than to be honest and take a look at other factors👍

I think luck can play a big role over a short span of play, but the longer the game goes on for, the higher the chance that the better player will win.

Luck plays a major role in poker, but without skill and practice you will see it very rarely.

You can ask any loser: success is just a matter of luck!Losing, even over a long period of time, does not necessarily mean that you are a bad player, although the longer the losing period lasts and the more money you lose, the more likely this is to be the case. There is no fairness in poker, and mathematics doesn't really care about such abstract concepts. This is not to say that the concept of fairness is useless, but it simply shouldn't be applied to poker. You can play at the same level as others and still lose or win more money in your life. This point is especially important given the widespread belief that "Don't worry, distance will make up for it."
