Wow, Phil Galfond!

Thank you for the podcast, you seem to have an A list line up :)

I hope it's not too late to ask a question:

Q: Apologies as you're probably tired of talking about this, but I've heard your epic comeback against VeniVedi described as one of the biggest achievement in poker history. You explained your decision to take a break (from the challenge) in great detail, but what was your strategy for study and mental recovery during the break?

I'm guessing we'd all love to know if he studied the losing hands from the challenge in the interim and what his process was to allow such a turnaround.

For Phil H.

When is your next book coming out?

What hobbies do you have in your spare time?

Do you ever see yourself retiring from poker?

Incredible.

Q: What's your opinion on the old-school ('feel') vs new-school (GTO) debate? Do you use solvers in your own study?

Phil, how difficult is it in this day in age to play against the young guns who tend to target you at the poker table?

Is Twitter good or bad for the promotion of poker in general?

Do you intend to stream poker online?

Who do you like between Daniel and Doug?

What do you enjoy to do the most in your spare time?

What is the one tournament you still want to win that you have not to date?

Do you ever see yourself aligning with an online poker site?

What do you miss about poker the most pre- Moneymaker boom?

What is the best and worst thing about poker fans that you come across away from the table?

Does it bother you to be spotted at a pkker table while not in a hand?

With all of the books being written these days, which poker book is your favourite?

Phil:
1. If you could tell your younger self one piece of advice at the beginning of your poker career, what would that be?

2. Could you tell us about your favorite charity that you support?

3. What changes to live poker play do you see post-COVID19?

4. You have seen a lot of antics at the poker table, is there any that stand out as the most outrageous behavior at the table?

Hi Jennifer,
With a eye to your book Chess Bitch: Women in the Ultimate Intellectual Sport published in 2005, what would you like to add/revise at nowadays? Thanks.

For Jennifer -

What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment in chess?
What is the next goal in your chess career?
What single event, do you feel, is your biggest accomplishment in poker?

Its a chess question, but..... maybe it goes with poker?

I play chess and cannot for the life of me think 2-3-5-8 moves ahead. Like If I move "here" they move either "there" or "there" or maybe even "there" and then I have to have all possible moves for EACH possibility... Is a mere mortal (old one at that) capable of learning to do this?

And do you also do this when you play poker, meaning you put your opponent on a range and then do you have a play for each possibility in that range? Or is your poker approach not done like that? Meaning, do you think about all range posibilites and your response, and, if so, are you - preflop for example - already thinking turn moves? Or is poker a more "wait and see and then decide"?
