Good morning,
a top skill of a poker professional is emotional discipline, which allows them to consistently make rational decisions and avoid "tilting" after a bad hand or long losing streak. This key skill combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify patterns and exploit opponent tendencies, along with discipline in bankroll management and constant self-improvement....they are yours and the AI's nightmares.

For example, for me... The best quality of a player is a stone face which allows me to be strong in poker for a long time
For me there are two: 1. The patience that involves not getting desperate waiting for hands, staying calm and not letting yourself be affected by tilt, and 2. Knowing how to fold. In fact, I still work on them.

I think the best quality of a poker player it's taking days off and not playing 24/7
-having a schedule
-having goals and targets related to poker
It's not just about the game itself , but how playing the game can benefit you long term

Since a lot of people already named patience, I will name agression. Without it you are a fish in the water, with it you are like a shark striking prey when they appear weak.

One of the most important qualities of a poker player is the ability to control their emotions. Emotional control allows a player to make rational decisions, avoid tilt (a psychological state where a player begins to play poorly due to frustration), and maintain focus on the game. Other important qualities include analytical skills, discipline, adaptability, patience, and the ability to learn.

In my opinion, the most important quality of a poker player is to stop in time.

I think the most essential quality is discipline — knowing when to fold, when to quit, and when to stay patient. Talent helps, but discipline keeps you winning in the long run.

For me, the most important quality is emotional control. You can learn strategy, math, and ranges over time, but staying calm after a bad beat or a cooler — that’s what really separates good players from the rest.

Good morning, everyone!
Without a doubt, theory is essential. The best players in the world have a deep understanding of theory and play almost like a GTO (Game Theory Optimal) poker solver. It’s quite similar to chess, where the top players in the world play almost like a computer, with move accuracy close to 95% or higher. I’ve seen several matches where players reached 99% accuracy.
If I could choose one thing to master completely in poker, the answer would be simple: I’d want to learn 100% of the theory.
If you have a very high level of theoretical and practical knowledge and play high volume every day, you can be among the top 10 players in the world — but reaching that level is extremely difficult. These are people with above-average intelligence.

I think it is necessary to be professional, generally speaking. But you need to improve your poker skills every day to achieve perfection. And yes, it is very important to never give up!

I think you need a lot of patience. Sometimes you just don't get dealt any playable hands and there's nothing you can do. It can be really depressing to fold and fold hours on end and keep losing money. You need a lot of resilience to stick to your strategy and give yourself the best chance to get it all in good. Some people tilt so easily.

Be cautious, calm to know when to bet and when not, bet on another player to see what he does if he only matches, bet more he retires and I'm left with the pro

...for me, what determines the most important quality is the player's knowledge and skills... furthermore, knowing how to deal with a downswing is essential to continue evolving...
