One thing I’ve learned from playing poker is that patience is more valuable than aggression when it’s not controlled.
A lot of players feel the need to constantly be in action, especially after a few losing hands. That’s where mistakes begin. Chasing losses, forcing bluffs, or playing weak hands just to “stay active” usually leads to bigger losses.
Good poker isn’t about playing more hands — it’s about playing the right hands at the right time.
Sometimes the best move is to fold 10, 15, even 20 hands in a row. It might feel boring, but that discipline is what separates winning players from losing ones.
Wait for strong spots. Observe your opponents. Stay calm under pressure.
In the long run, patience isn’t passive — it’s powerful.
