I guess I'd go with Vegas and mostly play live. I'm sure there's plenty of pros around, but there's surely plenty of fishy locals and a never ending stream of drunken tourists. They also have some legal online options. I could also spend my off time hanging out with the Pawn Stars :ROFLMAO:

Online at the moment I think it's better... in any apartment to play! Now live, I would love to live in Las Vegas! 😁

Only online. I can't play offline, my face will burn right away.

For online I beleive it should be a country with low living costs - so Asia, perhaps Thailand?
That's because with high level of online players, it is not so easy to make a steady income.

I believe it would be much easier life. For that it would be good to play in the country with access to soft games and not the highest taxes.
So Malta, Canary Islands or Texas could be my choice.

If I were to play poker for a living, I’d probably lean the opposite way, maybe 70–80% online, with a mix of live events sprinkled in for the experience. Online just offers such a huge volume of hands and game selection; you can grind multiple tables, study spots faster, and really refine your edge.

For me i am just starting out in this Poker Journey of mine. but if i was to make this as a full time living job i would definitely being doing it in person as i love to interact with people and like chat with them personally after a good game of poker.

Oh, if I were to make a living from poker, I think I would start online — you can play from home, set up a routine, and still avoid those live tells.
But the dream, right... would be to play live too, in big tournaments, to feel the adrenaline of the table.

Online: In a place with a low cost of living, good internet connection and favorable taxation .
Live: cities with good casino offerings and regular games .

If you were to play poker for a living, would it be live or online and where would be your ideal place to live and play?

For me, I would lean toward at least 80% live, and it wouldn't be in the desert because I cannot tolerate low humidity so I would have to pass on Las Vegas.
I would never play poker for a living, but if I did, it would be in Vegas .. I would never play for living online. It’s too unpredictable. You don’t have the option of scoping out people and looking at their face and try to figure out if they have a good hand or not..online you’re at the mercy of a computer

I think live poker requires a lot more skill than online poker. The luck factor is also much higher in online poker. I still play online mostly because where I live there aren't many opportunities to play live poker.

I’m just a hobby player, but if I ever decided to take poker seriously, I’d choose Thailand as my base.
Low cost of living, legal online poker, strong internet, and a few good live rooms in places like Bangkok or Phuket.
I’d keep it around 80% online and 20% live — grinding comfortably from home during the week and mixing in live sessions or festivals when traveling.
The only downside is the heat and humidity, but the freedom, low expenses, and steady action would easily make up for that.

I would play as a 100% online game, watching live is quite tedious and time-consuming. (Just my opinion)
Online I do other things at the same time, I am in the comfort and safety of my home, and I can plan my routine and life more adequately.

I like living in my home country but if I had choose another country other than my own, I would probably choose Australia if I were able to do so.

IMO, at least if you're relatively new to poker and you haven't figured out what games/ stakes/ opponents you want/can play to make profit consistently, online poker is your choice as it's easier to start/quit sessions, change tables if you think it's tough ones, easier to manage your bankroll... also you have different software to track your sessions that will help you improve as a poker player(if you take poker seriously you need this kind of 3rd party software to make it easier not only to study but also to keep an eye on your results...); still- if you have access to very good live poker games in your area, maybe where some business guys like to 'burn' some money, you can always give it a try and hopefully this will help moving up stakes faster, but make sure you don't play in private games where the risk of shady things happening is pretty high nowadays...

At present it’s just online and not for a living! But it’s my dream to play at a live poker table someday! 🥲

In that case I would definitely play live 90% and live somewhere where the action is all the time such as Las Vegas, Monte Carlo or Macau.

I haven't had the opportunity to play live yet, but I believe that, without a doubt, playing live is better than playing online. The full experience and skills

If I were playing poker for a living, I’d probably choose a mix of both live and online — live games for the atmosphere and reads, online for volume and flexibility. As for the ideal place to live, somewhere with a good poker scene, low cost of living, and solid internet — like Thailand, Malta, or maybe Mexico. You can grind online comfortably, travel for live events, and still enjoy a relaxed lifestyle when you’re off the tables.
yes , i think Rosarito ,mexico would be great ! Warm weather , nice beaches , major online poker sites available , close to USA + big card casinos in Los Angeles and sorta close to heavy Las Vegas action if wanted . There are several casinos + card rooms perhaps an hour away in San Diego too, depending on border traffic .

Well I wouldn't decide to play live , cause stakes and buy ins are high and my skills are not good enough to go after such a proffession , to become a pro poker player . So I would play online . But I would like to play from another country cause Greece has so many restrictions . Maybe| a country close to Greece , like Cyprus , there you can play online I think everything .

I agree completely…no other place on earth for the many choices to play live, then eat 5 star gourmet food, then watch the best entertainment in the world.

I would like to play online poker professionally, since I consider that playing live is boring, I've never played it live, but I think it's boring, because I'm used to playing at several tables, and playing at a single table is very boring for me.

I would like to go and live in a place like a small town, where there is nature and a river, where I can walk with my dogs.
