Honestly, I don’t agree with that kind of thinking at all. Poker isn’t about being a man or a woman — it’s about skill, discipline, psychology, and decision making. Anyone who studies the game and manages their emotions well can become a strong player.
There are many examples of women who have proven this at the highest level, like Vanessa Selbst, Maria Ho, and Kristen Foxen. Their results clearly show that poker ability has nothing to do with gender.
Sometimes people still carry old stereotypes about poker, but the reality at the tables is very different. In the end, the cards and the decisions are the only things that matter. A good player is a good player, regardless of whether they are a man or a woman.
And honestly, anyone who underestimates their opponents because of something like that is probably giving them a big advantage at the table.
