Thoughts On Streamers Showing Their Hands While Playing?

Aren’t they afraid of the fact that someone playing the same table can watch their broadcast and learn what hands they have?

but some streamers answer chat questions very quickly, definitely there is sm kind of delay but it may be not too long

What is very quickly ? 10 seconds ?


If he answers it in a really short period of time, it just means that the streamer doesn't care about delays. The chance is small, that there's someone who plays for example a MTT, who's on the same table as the streamer is, and who also knows that he's streaming that tourney... It could be possible, and consequently it would be a lot easier for the person who knows what hands he's got
But anyway, the delay doesn't have to be around 1 or 2 minutes, since we all know online poker goes fast. A delay of 30 seconds is almost enough.

But if you meant that they were answering via the chat, then it's of course still possible to have a delay on the images, but not on the chat ! But maybe you were saying that they answered you while talking...

Pros like these do not care after the play has happened as it is a huge revenue stream for them.

there is typically a fair amount of delay from when it happens to when we see it on stream. maybe 2-3 minute delay im guessing.

Yes the delay is a factor,but some one can study his way off playing and set up some traps for him.

Some streamers make more money for streaming than by playing poker and for this they simply don’t care if someone sees his cards! much more important for them is the number of people on stream

Yes I watch a friends stream all the time Brian Fite or Bizz11 as everyone knows him and he puts his on 5 minute delay but he sometimes forgets LOL and I have to remind him to put it on delay and yes he play plays against other pros like Brian Pairs and others so he has to have that delay on or they can see his hole cards to on there streams. It's a crazy world out there isn't fellow poker players. You have to know what your doing or you can get taken.

I have heard that if you broadcast your play that using a delay is mandatory. If you do not use a delay, you could be banned for collusion (or sharing hole card information more specifically) as anyone watching can see your cards and can use the information to their advantage, which makes it unfair to any player playing but not watching the stream.

Seeing one players hole cards can give you an edge over the rest of the table, given the card removal effects of seeing a players cards. You can see which 2 cards are not available anymore. This would be a much larger edge too if it was a PLO game as 4 cards are removed and face-up.

Streamers always play with a delay of 4 to 7 minutes. That would not be such situations that would have looked at their hands. And if the hands are played, then it does not matter. So same and offline tournaments, always show with delay.

I like watching streams on a 10 minute forward. Eating all da fish watching on a delay. It's awesome.
Why wonder if you're gonna hit your draw when you can just skip ahead. Sure shoving 72 off UTG looks a little nuts. But I know the flop is coming 7,7,2.
So the jokes on you. Some call it unfair but hey, not my fault they don't take adv of the stream features
That' why they don't allow television in the casinos during wsop. Everyone would know each others hole cards.
Don't take it too far though. Example, I never watch tomorrow's news today. Surprises can be fun. Plus with the internet- we could all win the lottery twice a week... and with all the money, how much fun would cards be?
Yay! I won the WSOP main event..... Put the money with the rest. Or burn it for heat. Escobar style. Doesn't matter.

There is a slight delay I think 3 to 5 minutes so where is no risk that they will be ghosted.

Most streamers set their delay for about 3 minutes that way if a player tanks all 3 streets he wont see their hole cards before the hand is over

I don't think that showing your hand online will hurt that hand because of the delay that it may have. However, showing someone your hands may give them an insight on how you play.

Most bigger poker streamers use about a 5 min delay.. Some actually don't use a delay so they can answer and interact quicker with their audience BUT have their screen set up with the cards they are dealt covered.
