When we play poker, we limit our game to 7 players so that we have the freedom to play 7 card poker games. Has anyone ever played with a 56 card deck or is this just a bad idea?

Follow-up to question

The 4 extra cards would 1's with a card in each of the 4 suits. This would not alter any high / low rules related to A's or face cards.

hello

I don't think that how the game is composed is fine, you don't have to add anything!

No. Who would ever do this.

There is already a solution for playing games like 7 card stud with 7-8 players where no one folds. It's a silly game, when you have everyone staying for all the streets, but whatever. The solution, when there are not enough cards in the stub to deal everyone a card, is for the last card to be dealt face up in the center of the table and be a shared card.

That would be very interesting. Even more if the 4 cards were wild cards.

With a tarot deck? 4 additional cards would be knights (higher than jacks, but lower than queens).

But no, ive never played poker with that one.
