Pretty vague question. The main thing evolves with your level. At first its probably somethimg simple like learning rankings of hands, probability of making them. Then it becomes basic strategy, playing in position etc.

For me the "main thing" at the moment in my game, is probably my "% of hands won at showdown".

I have a high % of hands won without showdown due to my aggression (usually 25%ish of all hands, 6-max cash) but i find that usually the more pots won without showdown = less pots won at showdown - this is due to my bluff frequency being high and getting called down occasionally given how often i bluff or semi bluff.

Reducing bluffing increases pots won at showdown, ergo reduces number of pots won without showdown. So i need to hit the sweet spot to stay aggressive, but also win over 50% showdowns.

for me and im no pro, but its putting yourself in the best possible situation to win. if its learning how someone bets, or finding a pattern. but i do way better playing poker at a table than i do online. i cant really get a feel for the players. i know thats crazy right
