For me, the most dangerous hand isn’t a specific combo like AQo or JJ, it’s the one that makes me drift away from my game plan. The moment I start making “hero” assumptions or convincing myself that this time the opponent must be
bluffing, that’s when I get in trouble.
It’s funny because it’s not really the cards that trap us, but our own thoughts. Once we start guessing instead of sticking to what we’ve studied, even a hand like AKo can turn into a disaster. Discipline is definitely tougher to master than the math sometimes.
