Lately, I’ve been catching myself calling down in spots where I kinda know I’m beat, but still can’t fold. You know that feeling — “maybe he’s bluffing this one time.” Spoiler: he never is 😂
I started forcing myself to make those disciplined folds even when it feels bad, and honestly, my winrate looks much healthier already.
How do you guys deal with that urge to “see it anyway”? Any tricks or mindset stuff that helps?

I'd do same as you're doing, discipline is key.

HUD can be a great tool. looking at his ATS rate ( attempts to steal) does help making a decision sometimes.

I usually try to equalize some bets, to see if I can set up my game, but if the bets continue, and knowing that I don't have a good hand I'd better retire.

Experience helps with this. Good players can fold and just forget about it and prepare for the next hand even if a player tables a bluff. We are going to get bluffed it’s part of the game, no big deal.

Sometimes I call even when I have a feeling it's not a good decision. However, I only do this when I know it won't significantly worsen my position in the game.

Making notes helps when you play with the same people over time...

I make my real decision at the decisive moment, not at the end.

Just don't get used to paying bets with bad cards, follow your intuition, if you tell yourself not to pay because you're losing and you're doing it anyway, then you have a big problem.

I am not really sure why I stay here.. I figure one day I might have time to play poker again, but honestly I am much too busy and value my free time spent in other ways. Playing guitar more for example.

Know when to hold them, know when to fold them as the old adage goes. One does get invested in hands so, it can be very difficult to find lay downs especially when you have to wait long times for an opportunity.
