Why is there 12 Aces in the deck?

Over my 3 years experience I see more often than not an A in the flop and usually at least 2 players holding one a they end up splitting the pot yet when i have a Ace and no other players do there's not an Ace in sight apart from the one in my hand.

Wow , it certainly feels that way whenever I do not want an ace to arrive. Yet, it feels the opposite when I have AK and hope for one of those many aces. i imagine it all evens out in the long run tho.

When you're at a 9-man table, it makes a total of 23 cards being dealt.

Since Ax is a solid hand to play, it makes sense to see a lot of those at showdown, especially if the board has an ace too.

One could calculate the probability of all 4 aces being in those 23 cards. I don't think it's as low as you might imagine 🙂

I think it's a question of personal perception. We all had one this feeling. For example : "Each time I am dealt KK an Ace comes at flop" . The reality is that it doesn't happen "each time" but that we only remember those hands when it happened. Well only 4 aces in the deck... and it's enough to tremble with my pocket KK

Coincidence . The ace grows into some kind of legend because probably lot of us raises with ace in hand. These hands are also awaited and remembered longer than others.
However, 78s or 89s have often better odds and potential pots than Ax

There are a couple of things going on, players tend to play high cards more - Ace is the highest card and humans tend to remember anomalies not everyday occurrences.

I think it's more about paranoia than reality. It's impossible for there to be more than one repeated card in a poker game. This wouldn't make sense as, by probability, a duplicated card may occasionally be seen. casinos are well-regulated and, in theory, must have everything in order to operate.
