How do I build my bankroll

I have been having some hard time building up my bankroll.I mostly play at small stakes but I am not able to build up my bankroll.
How to decide what stakes should I play at?

Generally by the bankroll size. 50 buy-ins for cash games and 100 for tournaments. If you drop below the mark you move down the stakes. At some point you will probably settle.

The key to bankroll management is staying disciplined. A simple guideline is:
Cash – 20–40 buy-ins
MTT – 50–100 buy-ins
SnG – 30–50 buy-ins
Always play within your bankroll: move up when it grows, move down when it drops.

Play stakes at which your bankroll allows, and never go over those stakes for any reason. You can take some shots at the next stake if you feel you are ready to, but always be ready to drop back down. Patience and discipline are key factors
