EXAMPLES OF PLAYERS WHO STARTED WITH freerolls AND BECAME MILLIONAIRES
Yevgeny Timoshenko
A well-known Ukrainian poker player who started playing at a young age. At first, he played poker with friends for fun, but then he realized that it was possible to make money. Young Eugene did not have the funds for a deposit, so he decided to find a way to build his initial bankroll without investing. In one of the freerolls, in the Ultimate Bet poker room, Eugene won his first $ 6.
It is very symbolic that before his 21st birthday, thanks to poker, the Ukrainian has already earned more than $6 million. Among the achievements of Eugene: wins in such prestigious tournaments as WPT, ART, Aussie Millions 2008 and WCOOP.
According to Tymoshenko, his main feature is that he easily adapts to his opponents in any conditions.
Annette Obrestad
Norwegian girl Annette Obrestad is one of the lucky few who managed to earn millions by starting from scratch. She started her career at the age of 15, when she registered in one of the poker rooms (minors are not allowed to play poker, and it's against the rules, but it didn't stop her). The parents did not like the idea of a deposit, and they refused the girl's request to give money for the game. So Annette decided to earn her first poker money in freerolls. She played under the nickname Anettte_15, which rather transparently hinted at her age.
The Norwegian's first win in the free tournament was $9. This was enough to participate in several Sit-and-Go tournaments, and then it was off.
A notable event occurred in 2006, when 18-year-old Annette won a tournament in which 180 people participated. According to the girl herself, she did not look at the cards at all, but was based solely on the behavior and actions of her rivals.
A year later, Obrestad won her first bracelet, becoming the youngest winner of the world series of poker.
Chris Ferguson
In 2006, the world-famous professional poker player Chris Ferguson decided to prove to everyone that you can build your own bankroll without cash contributions, if you strictly adhere to certain rules. For eight months, Ferguson participated only in free tournaments, because at first he could not earn money for buy-in events. The first decent win came in the tournament with a $1 deposit. Chris beat 683 opponents and, taking second place, earned $104. In 18 months, Chris reached the $10,000 mark. Already a millionaire, he earned this money from scratch. Although small prize money is offered in freerolls, it is quite possible to build your own bankroll and get promoted without investing money in the game. I have given only the most striking examples. In fact, there are much more of them.
In freerolls, you can win the starting money, although this will have to spend a lot of time. But on the other hand-at the initial stage, you still need to gain experience. There will be mistakes and doubts, but you can't do without them.
But if others have succeeded, you will also succeed. I wish you good luck and good winnings!

Freeroll bankroll

Hello. Can I start a career with freerolls? Many poker rooms attract new players with freerolls. But the number of players and the prize pool are unlikely to fill the bankroll. I wonder if there are people who started with freerolls?
i have been playing for just over a year now. For the first six months I put money on my account and would lose it in cash games. Then I would play Freerolls. I found my Freeroll pennies added up quicker than I thought. Now if I lose my roll I do the Freerolls until I get $10 (don’t take long usually) then play cheap tournaments to win $40-$150. My goal for this year is to win another one or two tournaments before my roll gets back to zero. I’ce been on this cycle for four months now, getting close to stacking wins and setting a new biggest payout mark only to lose that important all in. Maybe this time will be the time I do it. So yes, I think you can build a bankroll on Freeroll the winnings.

It would be faster if you earn some money in real life and deposit, but only if you beat the game of course - so study and practise and analyse/talking with better players is a must.
But it is also possible, to start with freerolls (like CC) and many other promos, but this will be some months extra :)
I like a good challenge and starting with 0 can be fun, but not for every 1 :)

you can do a lot with freerolls it just depends on your patience, start small and end big:) In any case, it's fun to play and to create something out of nothing to have the opportunity to just build something

Several similar topics have already flashed through the forum, and I think freerolls are one of the best ways to learn to play poker because you don't invest your own money.

I would say Why not? It may take a little time to have a good start, but once your bankroll is high enough, it is the same as if you had deposit.

Of course you can, obviously the path will be more complicated but not impossible, there are different types of free, some are worth it and others not so much, focus on the best opportunities in relation to the number of players, added prize and gradually adding you It will allow you to have a minimum bankroll that will depend on the study and your skills to make it grow, without study you will not be able to overcome the levels neither free nor with your pocket, so basically it is the same and you can start in the freeroll.

I believe anyone can definitely start , a poker career. There are so many freerolls, that offer live events by winning your seat through a satellite. You also can win a satellite, to a big buy in tournament for free from free rolls. Then from there if you win tournament, now you have a excellent bankroll. Then from there you play in , huge buy in tournaments and even win more cash. Anyone can do it , I just also believe, if you can go on a nice run. You can achieve any goal in life, but need luck as well on the way to the top.

Freerolls are a school of poker for beginners, although now experienced players who are tired of losing their money play these tournaments and everyone is happy.

Well, I currently have 35 dollars divided into 3 different poker rooms: ACR, GG poker and PokerStar. All of these amounts were raised by playing frerrols. I've deposited it a few times and ended up breaking it so now I'm just playing free games and I think I'm doing well.

Well certainly it is not impossible, but I think it is really unlikely. Isn't it easier to save 20 dollars get a starting bonus and start with a 50 dollars bankroll?

It seems to me that any career starts with free lessons. And freerolls in poker are a great opportunity to get free lessons.

now there are no such good freerolls that were 10 years ago
it's easier to find a job in 2 days after 2 and try to play inexpensive tournaments in your free time

Freerolls are a very despirsion game, but they are good because without investing your own funds, under favorable circumstances, you can win not bad prize money, but a large number of participants and inadequate apponents can drive you into dispersion.

Strat playing freerolls is a good way to start, you don't have to put your money and wont feel the variance that is one great villan on the pro poker jornay.

Wish you luck

You could I suppose, but you would be far better off depositing 20.00 and playing. 50 cent tournaments and 1c/2c cash games.

Not only would you spend a lot of time to win a dollar, you would pick up bad habits which don't translate well to "real " poker.
