Hello everyone,
I believe patience is one of the most important skills in poker. Waiting for the right moment often gives better results than playing too many hands.
Sometimes folding is the best decision even if it's boring.
Do you consider yourself a patient player?

Hey Houbi37!
You’re spot on about patience, but I’d add that discipline is the real game-changer. It’s not just about waiting, but knowing how to play based on your pre-flop ranges, stack size, and position. Your strategy should also shift depending on whether you’re grinding a freeroll or a paid MTT, especially when you’ve spent enough time at a table to read your opponents' styles and chip counts.

To move up from Bronze to Silver and Platinum, keep sharing these kinds of insights! Just make sure to post in the right categories so the moderators see your quality. Being consistent and helpful is the fastest way into the VIP programs. See you at the tables, man!

One thing poker keeps teaching me is patience. Waiting for the right spot instead of forcing action usually leads to better results. Sometimes folding is the best move you can make. Stay patient and good luck at the tables! ♠️

I completely agree, patience is very important in poker. I've played tournaments where I haven't received playable cards after several levels, and not losing my patience has helped me avoid losing my chips.

Yes, that's correct. Poker is about making the best decisions in short periods of time, aiming for hand value.

Without a doubt, patience is essential in poker. We don't always have it, but it's important to keep doing the right thing, and positive results will come eventually.

That's for sure! Patience, and only patience, is the key to success! I've given up many times and gone all in, only to end up losing everything

Patience is one of the most important skills in poker because it helps avoid mistakes, wait for profitable spots, and maintain mental control during long sessions.

Yes, patience is very important, especially in poker tournaments. Controlling emotions and knowing when to play against opponents and when to fold are essential skills....

But sometimes I ignore all of that... 😂

In my opinion, patience is one of the most important skills a poker player can develop. Many players lose chips not because they are unlucky, but because they play too many hands.
Poker rewards players who wait for the right moment. Sometimes the best decision is simply to fold and wait for a stronger hand or a better situation. This is especially true in tournaments where survival is very important.
I have noticed that when I stay patient and disciplined, my results are much better. When I start playing too many marginal hands, I often end up losing chips unnecessarily.
Learning to control emotions and avoid frustration is also part of patience. Bad beats happen to everyone, but the key is to stay focused on making good decisions.
Do you think patience is more important than aggression in poker?

It's something that I've learned over time to have too much patience at the tables, that helps the game too much.

Patience is the most underrated skill in the game. I’ve had sessions where I didn't play a single hand for an hour. Most players get bored and start opening $J-8$ offsuit from early position just to 'see a flop.' That’s how you bleed chips.
