Every poker player develops their own style, but two of the most common approaches are tight and loose play.

A tight player chooses strong starting hands and avoids unnecessary risks. This style is often recommended for beginners because it helps prevent big mistakes.

A loose player, on the other hand, plays many more hands and tries to put pressure on opponents. This style can be profitable but requires a lot of skill and experience.

The best players often adjust their style depending on the table and the opponents they are facing.

Neither style is 'better',the best style is the opposite of the table. If everyone is playing tight, I start opening every button. If the table is a bunch of lunatics, I sit back and wait for Aces.
