Just wanted to post this in retort , to my allegations last year on a certain televised table. People said it could not be done, so like all things , when people say it can't be done. Someone does it.

I wont bring up the details for it was a very touchy subject with a lot interesting characters.
This is definitely information everyone should know about the auto shuffler

But this wasn't a casino, it was a setup home game.

There are more possible deals in a deck than there are atoms in the universe. it doesnt stop people from cheating but it makes it extremely hard to do it consistently and not get caught. have you seen any of the steven bridges episodes on youtube? I much prefer when people try and cheat the casinos rather than each other!

Well... except they didn't... it's not a televised live table in a casino or anywhere else,

it's a private game where the guy had direct access to the auto shuffler, if you're at a private game where that occurs that's on you,

... but on the off chance you are ever at a casino and they allow someone to plug their phone into the shuffler usb please get up and leave🙄👍

Eventually, professional poker players will start to see what you are doing and will attempt to evaluate you by just calling to check what you have. If you consistently win with weak hands, they will start to play extremely aggressively against you. They will eventually understand that something is wrong if you keep calling but never bluffing at the showdown.

To maintain balance, its important to focus on when your opponents are likely to fold the best hand or call with worse hands, rather than just worrying about who has the strongest hand. This way, when pros start coming after you, you might lose a few showdowns here and there, but they will just think you are playing recklessly, not that you’re cheating.

I believe, though, that they would likely be caught if they attempted to use this in a casino, because there are servers, pit supervisors, security cameras with zoom lenses and random people wandering about. When they pass by and see someone sitting at a table using an App with cards on it, that's going to draw heat very quickly.

The hack requires physical access to the insides of a shuffler. Probability of this ever happening in a casino is pretty dang low.

The situation described here calls to mind the practices often depicted in shows like "The Sopranos", where mobsters would target vulnerable individuals, such as problem gamblers, at support meetings like AA or GA. These individuals, struggling with their addictions, would be manipulated into situations where they were encouraged to gamble again. The ultimate trap was that once they accumulated debt, they became beholden to the mob. The mob didnt just want money, they wanted control. Once someone owed them, they were essentially slaves to the debt, constantly coerced into doing their bidding. In a similar vein, its rumored that Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups may have been involved in a situation where gambling debts caught up with him. While this is speculative, it highlights the darker side of addiction and the lengths some individuals may go to when they find themselves in deep financial trouble, potentially becoming pawns in much bigger, dangerous games.:sick:o_O

That’s actually wild. I always assumed those auto shufflers were 100% secure, but this really makes you think about how much tech is involved in live poker nowadays. If someone can hack that, what else could be vulnerable without us realizing it?

I don’t think it’s something we’ll see happening often, but it’s still a reminder that even live games aren’t completely immune to cheating. I guess it’s one more reason to always keep a healthy level of skepticism when something feels “off” at the table.
