I’ve noticed that my live poker style ends up being different from how I play online. Live games feel slower, and players tend to call more, which makes me lean toward playing tighter and focusing more on value hands. Online, I’m usually more willing to take marginal spots because everything moves faster. Live poker also adds the social and mental side, which changes decisions a bit. I’m curious how others adjust. Do you change your style when playing live, or keep it mostly the same as online?

Perhaps it's because the dynamics are also different. Online tournaments are generally faster, and you basically just click buttons and wait for something to happen. In live poker, behavior tends to change because you can observe in more detail how other people at the table behave, for example, whether they are more attentive, distracted, or you can even talk to them to get some information, so you learn how they play.

You act the way you feel online, so your moves are consistent and therefore less time to react... In real life, you have to constantly adapt to the styles of others in order to catch their pace and try to adapt the game to your own needs... this is on a subconscious level) And considering the time to camouflage...)))

I don't think the two can be compared... playing online is much more relaxed... at home, in the kitchen, sitting on the toilet, at a garden party! In real life, you think twice about going for a drink.

You just have to get more expirience playing offline, so you can feel more comfortable to play YOUR game

It's easier to win chips in a hand when your opponent is a fish. Fish often play loose and passively. This tactic involves playing a large number of hands passively—calling.Fish are guided by the following logic: they want to see the flop as cheaply as possible. If they hit it, they think about how to play next. There's a hint of logic to this thinking. The problem is that they're dealing a huge number of weak starting hands that don't hit the flop well. As a result, more difficult situations arise postflop, when it's unclear what to do with second, third, or even fourth pair after an opponent bets.I'm looking for tables like this.

I totally agree with your observation. In my experience, live poker has a much heavier psychological component because you're staring right at your opponents, which naturally makes people play tighter in big pots but looser pre-flop just to 'see' a game. Online, the sheer speed and volume of hands make it easier to stay aggressive and take those marginal spots you mentioned. I find that the biggest challenge is the patience required for live games, it's a completely different mental grind compared to the fast-paced nature of online play
