I used to play in Moncton, but they are not having many tournaments anymore. I try and go to Montreal for the big events tournaments has often has i can. I only play tournaments. Last spring i went to play the Irish open in Dublin, it is not played in a casino, it is a big building where they old equestrian activities, in my flight there was over a thousand players all in the same building at same time. It is part of the european poker tour, and the main event was only 1100E. The dealers where very good, they come from all over europe, they follow the tour.

Do you know if they hold party poker events there some times. They have one for LOndon at the moment and had one in Burmingham in octobre.

In my opinion, this is the casino in Europe that welcomes guests without exception from all countries of the world - Barcelona.The largest stage of the European Poker Tour, organised by pokerstars, takes place here every year.Another reason to come to the Barcelona Casino is to meet celebrities. The EPT stages attract the cream of Spanish society, including popular footballers and showbiz stars.

I love going to Pop's Poker in Richmond Virginia USA. It is a poker establishment and not a casino. They have the Poker Atlas software to keep up with things. The dealers shuffle cards and they are not put in one of those card shufflers.
The casinos use the card shufflers and the first time that I saw one I did not trust it. I did not like the fact that cards were disappearing in a hole in the table and I could not see what was happening to them and how they were being manipulated.

i have been to the poker stars event, even played the main event. you are right, all the big names where there. on day one at my table, there was 4 players i had saw on final tables on TV. And i did not need to go 2 rounds to know i was the fish at the table. The american pro on my left would enter every pot i was in and punish me. But my only goal was to make it to day 2, and i did, but i was playing a buyin over my head. I did make it to day 2 tho but didn t cash.
I played 5 other tournaments there and cashed in 2. while playing one of them, a spaniard suggested i go to play the irish open in Dublin, the main event is only 1100E, and last spring i did. I have already booked my hotel, plane tickets bought for next spring Irish open. The event doesn t take place in a casino, it is some kind of equestrian venue, in my qualifying event we were over a 1000 all in the same building. There is lots of room there, it is well organize, and the Irish people are great. My bucket list was always playing the main event in Vegas, but now it is Dublin, and i can go there 3 times for the same price has 1 main event in Vegas. On my day 1 of the Irish open , i had the honor of playoing with a player who has won 4 EPT, I dont know his name, i think he is British, I had saw him on TV, he seemed pretty cool on TV, arriving with a beer. And on day one , he joined my table at level 4 with a beer in his hand. It was nice to see him work, he fights for every pot he is in. I saw why he has won 4 EPTs. I was talking to Frank, an american wich i saw win a tourney on TV while playing a seniors event, he told me he had played a few of EPT s in , and his favorite was the one in Dublin, I dont know franks last name, but the tourny he won on tv, he had a chicken wing for luck. OH yes, and if you win in Dublin, you don t have to pay taxes like Vegas.

The last few years, we stayed at the Wynn…it is beautiful and clean, but I find the poker room rather bland and boring. I like playing at the Bellagio…great atmosphere and you are sure to see many of the top pro players there…I get a big kick out of the fact that one dealer who dealt to me in a $1-3 table back in the 90s, is now one of the final table dealers in WPT tournaments at the Bellagio.
