play poker against a friend whether it's right or not
if I win all my friend's money I'll be sorry for him
but he played with me to win me
what should I leave my friend after that or what should I do

I would feel uncomfortable winning large amounts from a friend (or losing as well).

If I play poker with friends, we always play for really low amounts, so no one feels to bad if they lose/win.

I play with friends at the table, but only when the bets are small or in an inexpensive tournament, and when I play decent bets in the cash game or in a good tournament, it’s better not to play with friends because they may have resentment against you or vice versa, I already There were quarrels in poker with friends but we made up and now I try to play less with friends at the table!

I agree with what everyone is saying. Poker with friends typically has more emphasis on fun than money. I have found it is common to sometimes show cards as you fold, common to eat/drink mid-game, common to play really loose and a list of other things that you wouldn't see many high stakes pros doing much. When playing poker with friends, the focus is more on making sure everyone has a good time; if that means playing looser or offering drinks: then that is simply what happens to keep them coming back.

p.s. Naturally some types of friends may feel okay with playing for more money, but these are not usually your loving-family-type friends. They are usually coworkers or people whom you get along with (maybe even seen as "friends" but probably don't care about you much deep down and surely don't feel bad about taking your money. Context is everything, so choose your poker circle wisely :)

Play with friends well, of course, not on the apartment, and then the end of friendship. And so for 10 20 dollars can really be fun:D

Hello.
If you start playing poker with your friends, then you have to understand that poker is a competition and money is a reward. Personally for me there are no friends at the table, there are only my opponents.

for some people the materialistic value of money is not important because they value the time and social experience far more

I play with friends in home game that we organize occasionally and it is great experience. We follow few rules to guarantee the best possible experience:

1. Always play for small enough money that everybody can loose without problem. For example we play MTT with buyin of around 3$ equivalent per person. This is the price of pack of cigarettes or 3 beers in our country.
2. There is always alcohol (at least beer but frequently something stronger like vodka) and music during play (and usually afterwards also).
3. Sometimes after the game we use part of the money to buy more drinks and food.

For me general rule when i play with friends is to focus on the fun element (after all we are friends) and let poker game add to it.

I have no problem playing with friends or family. Establish the rules and prize pool and let the games begin.

I would play with my friends
But not a lot for the buy-in
More for fun experience and learn from the game
It will be more a casual game

I'll play home games with friends for small money but never for anything substantial. I feel my friends are on my team and therefore I refuse to play zero sum games with them where losing might actually hurt. It's like mixing "business with pleasure" and can lead to discord among friends and it's simply not worth it. Like they say "there are no friends at the poker table".

Feel the same, but my friends were not at my level, so I just played about 60-70% of my hands. Still had success, but it was more funny for me rather than educational, but it was right. :D

I would avoid playing with friends for what is a significant amount of money to you personally, or to them. I have fun playing stud poker with family for nickels, I have fun playing little $10-20 buyin holdem tournaments with friends. I certainly wouldn't play with friends for more than $50, at that $ amount I would have to take the game more seriously as the potential winnings is a pretty significant amount of money for me. Playing with friends should be about drinking/socializing/enjoying each others company...less so about making money.

Hello.
I do not play poker with my friends. I have some friends who play poker, but we only play online.
Good luck.

I think it can be fun provided that no one is offended when he loses.

I think that it 's okay. Both sides know the consequences. With a good banroll management it should NEVER become a problem. If your friend starts losing large amounts, it is better to play with friends. Because you can protect him from losing even more. Strangers wouldn't do that!

I also play poker with friends for money, but we play for very small, purely symbolic amounts of money. Rather, it does not look like a competition, but how well spent time !!!

It is difficult to unequivocally answer your question. However, popular wisdom says: "There are no brothers in the cards!" :jd4:

I think, that if friendship is important to a person, then he will not play for money with friends.

Playing with friends for fun, meaning for symbolic amounts of money or some other triviality, is fine.

Everything else will test the friendship, lets say it like that.
