I prefer to play with friends, because it's more fun. Just hanging out and joking around. But only for small stakes. If the money is more significant, I prefer the casinos.

If you are just a casual player friends are good. If you get to be good and start winning a lot the friends stop inviting you to play.

I've only played small home games so far (and a little online, but play much better in live games because psychology is my strength and I gain a lot more insight spotting tells in person that one simply can't do online). I plan on going to a casino in the near future (as soon as the pandemic is fully over and it is safe again) because it seems like an experience I would enjoy. In the meantime, I'll just keep improving my poker game and be ready when that day comes

Poker with friends, casino for losing money..

Prefer friendly, low stakes poker with friends. If you win or lose a few bucks, not important. Hanging out with your poker crowd, pizza, beer; all the essentials. The casino is for losing some money, getting out of town.
Serious, bear-down poker, I do better online than in the casino, or card room.

Depends on your type of player, in my case, playing in casino just for experience, but I really like play with friends

Many of my friends prefer playing for higher stakes than the typical "Weekend Poker Night" crowds would. We usually play for buy-ins of around $200, which makes for good poker nights. I love going to casinos to play, but I think knowing friend tendencies leads me to like those games better.
