I’ve played mostly online, but recently started playing more live sessions. The pace is obviously slower, but I also noticed the dynamics feel completely different. People talk more, give off physical tells, and ranges seem wider in certain spots.
At the same time, patience becomes way more important because you’re playing fewer hands per hour.
For those who play both regularly, what do you think is the biggest adjustment when switching from online to live? Is it exploitative play, mental game, bet sizing, reading people… or something else?
Would love to hear your experiences.
