The other day when I was playing at a casino, I was at a table with the largest number of women I'd ever played with (aside from ladies-only tournaments, of course). It was a 4/8 cash game and a few players came and went, but near the end of my time at the table there were six ladies and only two men! I've never seen that before. It's usually the other way around, with the men outnumbering the women at least four to one.

That made me curious... what's the highest female to male ratio you've seen at a poker table? What kind of game was it (tourney, cash game, what buy-in or limit) and where?

@ my home games, we usually have about 10 women play so i think that's the most i've ever seen. When we get about 20-30 people playing that's about how many women play. So that's a 1/3

Cash table at an Indian casino in California, there were like 4 college girls that just came in and started a new table. I joined them and another older woman came in after, and then a couple other 20 something year old girls joined a few minutes later. First time I ever played on an all women table in my life, besides for all women tourneys of course. The only male on the table was the dealer, who just couldn't stop smiling this weird smile that he kept trying to hide the whole session he dealt.

Besides that, in Vegas recently, the most women I've ever had at a table were 6--counting me--at a 2/5 table. It got pretty intense for a while too, lots of huge pots going on, I got in a couple huge pots and some back and forth "word fighting" or whatever you want to call it also took place.

We have a league w/ about 25-30 people with about 20 in any given tourney. Out of that, we have about 6 or 7 females (spouses) on any given night.

We had a female win it during our first tourney for points (we've been playing for a year, but only had the league for about 3 mos). Funny thing about that - she was about a 4-1 chip underdog when she got to heads up and still won. The problem - guys keep paying them off. When they bet, I bow out knowing that have it. We have one that bluffs a little, but for the most part, they bet their hands. This guy would raise on a bluff, she would reraise and he'd put her all-in - then she'd double up. After a few times, he ended up losing.

If there was KKQ on the board and I held a Q, I'd raise - if a female reraised me or even called me - I'd put her on the K and generally be right. If she didn't have it, she'd fold and then the guys would play it out (based on other things like tells, observing their style of play). But some guys just can't get it that the females we have don't bluff often enough to make it +ev to chase with them. Now if you have a good hand - sure bet it out. But if there is a flush out there and you don't have it and she reraises you - she has it.

These girls can play...they know if there is a flush or str8 out there and they'll lay down their top pairs. If they come back at you, you better lay down your bluff. The only way we can get rid of them is if they have the hand they are representing, and someone has them beat. We have a couple that have a hard time laying down J high flushes and lose to a K high flush. So they stick around to the top 5 or 6 until they have a hand and they run up against another hand. They usually have a decent chip stack because our donks will try to bluff them (too much TV poker) and lose their chips to them.

I was at a table (we had 24 so we had 3 tables to start) and we had 8 ppl - 4 were females. I was worried - but I made it out of it to the next table - so did 3 of the girls...
