To anybody going to the World Series of over this year I wanted to give you some information about my trip. Tammy did post about world series of poker App and it is a requirement to be able to play in this year's world series of poker. The reason I'm posting this I was that whole series last week and many of the players do not have the app on their phone or any other paperwork done yet. Based on what I saw if you're going to sign up for a tournament with an hour of play like I did you may not be able to get done in time for the start of play. I was about 20th in line and was about 3 minutes late for the start. I would highly recommend signing up to the app signing off on all the forms you can so all they have to do is confirm your identity and take their entry fee. What's the slow Internet service and everything else in the horseshoe we really don't want to have to deal with at the casino.

Now for some good news to help you. I was really shocked by how easy it is to get signed up for an event the afternoon before or evening before the event you want to play. It was literally walk up to the window in the afternoon and they were still having with entries going on in some of the events. So if you can do take that advantage it'll be worth it.

As for the app itself they are no longer giving you paper seat assignments it all goes through the app and your phone now. The nice part is the wsop is using all available information to get you into a proper seat like online tries to do. I was moved multiple times and always put in approximately the same position I was. This is nice because we all know what it's like to finish going through the blinds get moved in the first hand there you're not lines again. What's also nice just being able to see what the stack sizes are of other people at your table and how the tournament is going and where you're at. Oh man I was pretty annoyed by this app during the first hour but I realized how much better and smoother this is and it's kind of nice to know where you are at any given time because when you get knocked out now the dealer marks it into their electronic device and it updates on your app immediately.

So if you're going to the World Series this year good luck to you and I hope this helps you at least a little bit.

Yea I really love the app. The great thing about it is your family or friends back home can also download the app and create an account and as you update your chip stack they can see exactly where you are in the tournament. My sons and wife love watching my roller coaster chip stack throughout the day. Good post Ken glad you made it home safe!
