Not sure about your question. If you play online you can see a lot of players from China and Hong Kong in almost every room.

As far as I know, online gambling is not legal in China. So sites accepting chinese players operate from other countries. Pretty much the same as sites accepting US or Russian players, since there are loads of countries, where online gambling is not legal.

While I cant say for sure, when I was in Changcha China in 2006 I actually found a poker room in the hotel we were staying at. It was not just a private game but a actually advertised poker room. When I was there I could not access online games though.

People can play being in China any country of casino. And any game. I don't think, it is a problem for them

In my opinion, I happened to meet players from China at the tables in one of the poker rooms. Of course, there weren't many of them, but I met them. Therefore, I think that poker games are still available in Asian countries.
