Is this what "Reshuffle" means?

A little while ago I was playing a 6 seat PLO Hi/Lo freeroll on ACR. I mucked my cards, including the Ac, preflop and when they dealt the flop the Ac showed up in it. So is that what happens with a reshuffle?

Yes, that’s likely what happened.
In online poker, when cards are mucked preflop, they go back into the deck pool. If the flop hasn’t been dealt yet, the system can reshuffle the remaining cards before dealing the board.

So the Ace of clubs you folded can still appear on the flop because it was returned to the deck.

This is normal behavior in most online poker software.
It’s different from live poker where mucked cards stay physically out of the deck.

The intention is to prevent potential collision of players sharing their cards with each other but in reality it may confuse players who notice their cards again.

Makes sense and I can see why it would work well to at least put a little crimp in the plans of any cheaters.

This is only on ACR in Omaha games. Do you actually play online?

I've never noticed this on other rooms... In general, I think everything should be like offline, without mixing discarded cards, and the fight against scammers should be done in other, more effective ways, considering the profit the room receives.

As others have said, this is only in PLO games on WPN (including ACR), and the purpose is to reduce the value of card sharing. Simple example from NLH: player A is UTG and fold. Someone open, and now player B in CO need to decide with 44. Player A tell him in a private chat he folded K4. Knowing this player B have an easy decision to not setmine with only one out rather than two.
