Has anyone used this method before on 888? If you transfer funds to someone, does the other party play the transfer deposit 1x and then they could withdraw? I know pokerstars and ACR has this policy for transfers. But I read that when you transfer to someone, it's a bonus and requires clearing which I don't understand?

Yes, I've never used it but basically at 888Poker you cannot withdraw the money after it has been transferred to you.

You have to reach a rake requirement before you can withdraw. So it's basically a useless feature.

Edit: Seems to be not fully correct. See below.

It's much WORSE than this ^

Not only do you have to clear the 'bonus', you can only do so when you have ZERO funds left in your account (and are then clearing the 'bonus' with the 'bonus money' which in this case would be the transferred funds).

It is a huge rip off and should be avoided at all costs!!

DO NOT DO a player to player transfer on 888. Trust me on this. If you do, you will have HUGE regrets! (there's some old threads on Cardschat that explains it in detail but I'd prefer to not look it up. Just trust me on this... it is a blatant ripoff by 888.)

This ^ is incorrect! You can't even clear the 'bonus'.
A few years ago I received a transfer from a Cardschat member. I was trying to build my accounts up so it didn't affect me with the thought of needing to clear 'x' amount of rake as I had no intentions of Withdrawing funds for awhile.
After playing for 6mos. it finally dawned on me that my bonus hadn't changed at all???? I had cleared NONE of it. This is when I learned about this blatant ripoff that 888 has chosen to do to their customers. It is shameful.

Okay so I looked it up. It's on page 264 of the 888 Support thread on CC.

Wow, that's horrible. Basically a feature to block future withdrawals then 🤯

Thanks for letting me know. I've made an edit to my post above to make people aware while reading.

@Poker Orifice is right with everything.

That being said the bonus from p2p does not dissapear if u withdraw ur roll first, is valid for 2 years and does not require a lot of playthrough.

if u plan on playing there and u have a withdrawal method that is available it should be pretty easy to release it.

In my example i had 40 $ from a p2p. Cashed out all my money first. Played a bit poker for a few dollars and then decided to bet 20 $ on slots. To my surprise bonus money was already released after that.

For myself, if I withdrew funds from my account, the bonus was void.

There was a work around this though but I believe it is against their TOS. What I did was....

I had around $800 in my account (+ another $160 from a p2p transfer). I entered into HSMTT's that were on the following day, til' I had nothing left in my account (ie. entered their $525, & a couple $109's, etc.). And then I got on the SNAP cash game tables and was able to clear the 'bonus' this way. I believe it took a good number of sessions to clear it though, each time needing to reg. for future tourneys, play cash game, then unregister from the tournaments.

I believe that's how a number of people got banned from 888, including orsino.

This specific p2p bonus does not dissapear upon withdrawing. They probably gave u a warning in the cashier that u will loose all bonuses because u had other bonuses still available.

Its not listed under the other bonuses.

Tbh found it a bit strange it got released only after playing with like half of it in the casino and a bit more on poker. Maybe they changed something idk or the conditions are better in the casino.

They must've made some changes to it.
I didn't have any other 'bonuses' of any kind. I NEVER accept 'bonuses' on 888 and I NEVER play a single Casino game of anything. (I don't even know how to access it).
And, it took me awhile to clear it. (as in a couple months of playing 10nl & 25nl SNAP tables).

Read through the post... you can transfer player-to-player but it'd be a poor decision.

So you should never send or receive an 888 transfer then? Say you have a 2k balance. Someone sends you 1k. You need to sit in all the tournaments that take place in the future for 2k or so and then use the 1k you have left to register for your daily tournaments? Then once you are done with your session, unregister from upcoming future tournaments. Then the next day, do the same thing?

Is there a way to know how much money 888 poker bonus you cleared if you receive a transfer from someone or vice versa? Someone sends you 1k of 888. You now have balance of 3k. You need to register upcoming tournaments of 2k to even start this? How can you even do that on 888 since they don't have enough tournaments with high buyins to register 2k worth? So if you do that, now with your balance of 1k or so, you play a whole session. Say you had total buyins of $300 for the session. Your balance is now $990 and you are down $10 for the session Is it going to show you cleared $300 of the $1000 bonus money? Then you unregister the future tournaments. Then the next session you register for upcoming future tournaments of like $2300? Now say you play $500 worth of tournaments. You cleared $800 of $1000 bonus money right? The issue here seems to be when you cash in any tournament or get bounties during the session, wouldn't that factor into this so now your rollover for the bonus money is even less since any reentries you do would be from that bounty or cashing in tournament money? So you might have just cleared $300 bonus money max?

So is it possible someone could never clear the bonus then? So if you want to send or receive 888 transfer, make sure the other player has either no balance or a very low balance like $500 at the absolute maximum? But if you are sending or receiving a smaller amount like $100 or less, you should eventually clear it without any issue?

The player to whom you transfer your funds will receive them as a deposit. This means that in order to withdraw them, the player will need to fulfil all the conditions that apply to a regular deposit.
However, to be absolutely sure, you can ask your question to an official representative of 888.

This is a bait from 888 poker to lure money from players, they won’t let you play back the big bonus, they’ll wipe out your money.

Good to know all this even if I'd never use the p2p transfer option. There really isn't a need to transfer a player money I don't personally know irl. As I don't know what the person is doing, using or if they're breaking the sites TOS. And if they are doing anything shady I sure as hell ain't getting caught up in it by transferring them money. Next thing you know your account is under investigation right along with their's because you transferred them money once. I see nothing but headaches all around by using p2p transfers. No thanks.

Cheers!!!

Exactly!!!
Or if the person has used a bad credit card, or had dealings with someone else who had (and a ton of other potential b.s. scenarios).

The person you're dealing with might be a great guy... but perhaps they were too trusting of some other p.o.s. who isn't?????

Dude. Are you trying to overcomplicate this?

You can only clear the bonus when you have NOTHING left in your account. And to clear the bonus you're raking 'x' amount (I don't recall what it is offhand at the moment... because it was awhile ago I had to deal with a p2p transfer in my account).

But honestly why even be concerned if it's 10,000... or 3,500... or 540. The gist of the story is.... DON'T DO A PLAYER TO PLAYER TRANSFER on 888 or you will fk'n regret it!

Bingo the guy you're transferring to could very well be a decent good guy......but then he transfers money to someone who isn't. Now everyone is caught up in a mess needlessly.

Unless you know someone irl and can trust them with your life don't do p2p transfers it's really that simple and easy. And I don't care what site you play on. You're opening yourself to headaches and trouble for ZERO gain.

Cheers!!!
