Looking forward to see it. Daniel has built a team that does an amazing job editing his YouTube videos. He does his best to put out content so that new generations of players get exposed to and interested in poker. Most of his videos are very entertaining and informative. It's always interesting to hear him talk strategy. Despite his tantrums which I didn't see in his early days. But, then again, running bad can tilt anybody.

I completely forgot about the release of the documentary. I'll definitely have to look at it. There is more attention paid to the players and the attitude towards poker.

Very cool, however, I'll skip the parts with Phil Helmunt; he doesn't add anything, just insults and an ego that's out of this world.

I saw the first two episodes it was very interesting I think it's a very good watch I think it is. The most interesting part is when Kristen Foxen explains the fallout of the hand she got eliminated on in the main event in 2024 and the backlash she received from it afterwards. It was a lot worse than I had thought.

That was pretty boring, hopefully the other episodes are better.
After seeing two episoded I have to concur. So far it has been every poker documentary ever made. This should've been a Netflix production with Drive To Survive kind of vibe.

It's always a thrill watching documentaries with our poker legends doing their thing. Personally, I'll admit I have a bit of a thing for Liv Boeree. Not just 'cause she's stunning and charismatic, but mainly because she's seriously smart—a fellow nerd, just like me (with the big difference being I'm not gorgeous like she is, lol). She has a degree in Astrophysics from the prestigious University of Manchester, and that totally explains her playing style: analytical, scientific, cold, and calculated. Just the way I like it.
With her, there's no emotion; it's just pure, rationalist calculation in the form of cards on the table and crying opponents afterward. The documentary pretty much speaks for itself and needs little extra praise. IMO, it's about her and one of, if not the, biggest wins for women in poker history.
It just goes to show that logic, rationality, game theory, and even astrophysics are all part of what makes a consistent poker player. And even after retiring, she showed the world she's still an absolute queen.

I'd like to watch more, but it was taken off the air. I think I remember the lovely Foxen losing in this tournament. If I'm not mistaken, she lost with a very marginal hand, like K 6, and she was quite dominated with the K. But given her stack, she had to try to pull off another weak game, which is normal because after beating so many stacks of chips, it was normal to try to take risks, and she had been playing beautifully well before!
