If they win against the population they are taking money out of the eco-system - which destroys the game in the long run. They are already good enough to beat recreational players (and have been for many years).

With AI, AGI, and ASI it will be something no 100% biological human can go up against and win.

We have to merge and integrate ourselves with computers to not be left behind by a new digital "species" with superior intellect. Or, maybe continue to play in a simulated reality like the matrix.

In my opinion, over the past few years, online poker has stopped gaining momentum and its popularity, in my opinion, is growing very slowly. Poker sites make decisions and leave certain regions around the world. Governments are adopting strict laws and licensing conditions, which has essentially made poker illegal in many places. Things are going so badly that, in my opinion, even without artificial intelligence, we will soon be playing only on small local projects at best.

Online poker is currently in a downswing and facing some variance compared to the Moneymaker poker boom nothing more.

Poker dying or kill poker. Please I've been hearing for 15+ years that poker is dying and gonna die that kinda talk makes freaking roflmfao. First it bots that were gonna kill poker NOPE. Then it was HUD's gonna kill poker NOPE. Then it was collusion NOPE. Then it was cheating NOPE. Then it was GTO NOPE. Then RTA NOPE. Now it's AI....anyone see a trend yet in the answers lol. The only way poker is dying completely is if the govt and banks make it so. Why?

Simple because the vast majority of us say 75-90%+ play for fun at micro/low stakes. As long as the govt lets us download the site, setup the account and we can still find banks that will process poker transactions we'll keep playing till we die. Humans after all are creatures of habit.

Also I doubt Govt's in the end will kill poker. I'll bet and shove all the money ALL-IN that they take it over and control it in the end. There is simply too much money in poker for them to destroy poker.
