Daniel Negreanu wins 7th WSOP bracelet

Daniel Negreanu wins wsop bracelet #7 last night in the $50K Poker Player's Championship (PPC). His first WSOP bracelet since 2013. And his first WSOP Vegas bracelet since 2008.

In the PPC, players cycle through 9 different poker variations - No-Limited Hold 'Em (NLH), Seven Card Stud, Omaha 8-or-better (OmahaHiLo), RAZZ, Pot Limit Omaha (PLO), Limit Hold' Em, No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw, Stud 8-or-better (StudHiLo), and Limit 2-7 Triple Draw.

The game was back and forth until the last half hour where Daniel cripples his heads-up opponent, Bryce Yockey, when Daniel's 2-pair beats Bryce's lower 2-pair in Seven Card Stud. Bryce doubled up a couple of times and started to come back in OmahaHiLo and RAZZ, but Daniel finished him off in PLO when Bryce gets it all in on a flush + straight draw to Daniel's trips. On the turn, Daniel makes the boat and Bryce is drawing dead, making Daniel Negreanu the recipient of the $50K PPC bracelet.

I'm very happy for Negreanu! Haven't heard from him for a long time .
It was interesting to know what successes his friend Fila Helmut has had this year. I always enjoy watching them both play at the same table.

The path to the final table was not easy for the Canadian. He was on the verge of elimination several times, and got into the top 7 only with the second stack from the bottom. But luck finally began to repay Daniel's debts. He got promoted and was already a chip leader in the top 5.

Caught some of it and watched some of his blogs.

Guy was down to 800k on day 4 or something and I checked back later and he went from the bottom of the remaining players to the like the top 3 lol it was crazy.

The talent at the two remaining tables was 100% professional grade A, multiple bracelets, huge crushers. DNegs had Phil Ivey to his left, lol.

I think they were in the money and deep on Day 3 and I was really surprised to see almost no one was around to watch the live action in the stands even on day 3. Guess folks didn't know or have the time.

Another great win for Daniel. Its very hard to stay on the top of poker such a long period. The game has change alot and developt. He must transfer his game to another level and after time he get success. I love his style of play and sympathic attitude. I be interested if the next bracelet coming earlier since the last success.

Good for him! Negreanu was the first player I knew about when I was learning to play poker. So I am always happy when Daniel achieves success in poker. It certainly inspires me.

Really glad that Daniel won this event. To be honest it's really hard to believe it took him so many years to get his 7th bracelet but as we all know the way the game has changed it's not as easy as it used to be congratulations Daniel.
