Former NBA Star Gilbert Arenas indicted for operating illegal high-stakes poker games in Southern California

Federal indictment: Gilbert Arenas along with 5 other co-defendants, one of which is suspected to be a high-level member of an international organized crime ring.

From the indictment: "...hired young women who, in exchange for tips, served drinks, provided massages, and offered companionship to the poker players..." (emphasis added)

So, it's not just the poker, they had some other stuff going on too and likely not paying taxes on any of the rake they took in.
