I didn't know the WPT history as much as the wsop Main Event.
Will this event ever surpass* the prestige or the relevance of the WSOP ME? Maybe, for some players it already did.

Really good post Shells and thank you - a great 5 minute read and especially interesting to note that Gus Hansen was the first WPT winner back in 2003 i believe and also the fact that he never actually won the world championship as per article. Love historic stuff like this.
