Jordan Cristos, 38 year-old poker pro from California, has been sentenced fourteen to forty-eight months in prison for threatening World Poker Tour CEO Adam Pliska and a family court judge overseeing his custody hearing. According to court documents, Cristos was upset due to the termination of his WPT online poker account and demanded reinstatement if he deleted negative social media posts.
“You are effectively sentencing all of your staff to an Open season,” Cristos wrote in a January 2025 email. “If you do not accept my offer, then you are going to meet the legend and the stalker in more ways than one.”
To top off his troubles, Cristos is reportedly banned from several Las Vegas poker rooms — including the Wynn, Bellagio, and Aria — for excessive tanking and threatening behaviour.
Cristos is due back in court on November 18 to face charges of coercion with the use of a deadly weapon and communicating intent to commit a violent act.
