The 888 poker website only accepts proof of residence in English, what should I do?

Is there any way to convert the receipt from Portuguese to English, an application or website that does this?

I appreciate suggestions.

An authorized translator will get the job done. This is also used for official papers like a marriage certificate, when they need to be used in another country. Of course this is not free of charge, and it seems a bit extreme, that 888 cant accept papers in portuguise. Here in Scandinavia they have staff, who can read papers in danish or swedish, so we are not met with this requirement for translation. Its almost like, they are saying, they dont really want brazilians as customers. And in your situation I might take the clue and find somewhere else to play.

I never needed to prove my address, it's a mistake for them to charge this since Brazilian players are accepted on the site.

Well then, I also think it is absurd on their part, and it seems to me that they are making an effort not to approve the documents.

Thanks for the answers.

Thats completely wrong. Everyone has to prove his adress there. it does not matter where the player is from.

Yes brazilians are accepted there but this is not what this is about and they still have to prove their adress like everyone else.

So what u are saying is that u never made a withdrawal there?

Did you actually get that answer from them? I send them my files in spanish. There were a lot of negatives from them, till I send them a not so frendly message (edit: without being disrespectful), and everything was aproved.

That`s not true. They accepted my internet bill without any problems, and it was in Portuguese.
Are you sure you didn`t send some invalid document? Pay attention that digital bank accounts are not approved.

I don't remember needing to prove the address other than my normal one here in Brazil

So u actually had to prove ur adress lol.

But i think i get what u probably want to tell: U probably mean that there was no translation needed. And yes i agree with u if this is what u meant. Many brasilians playing on 888 and i can not imagine everyone of them had to send a translated document for proof of residence

What exact document did send for proof of basement @ZenonBR ? Did u try with something very legit like a bank statement for example?

I have already sent them an online purchase invoice, and bank extract.

its very weird they would not accept a bank statement without translation. my documents were also in spanish and accepted years ago. something like online purchase invoice is not an accepted document as far as im aware.

there is something off here either from ur or from their side. no way all the brazilians on 888 had to send translated documents.

are those documetns under ur exact name and show the exact same adress like in ur 888 account?

Yes, but everything will be resolved, I transferred the internet account to my name, and now I just have to wait for the invoice to arrive, and see if they will accept it in Portuguese since they accept it in Spanish.

If it's not something specific against people who speak Portuguese, let's find out.

If a receipt is required for verification, it simply has to be in English, and translating it is not an option. You need to provide this receipt in English, translations are not acceptable. You can order a bank statement from your bank, for example, but it should be in English, so that you don't need to translate it.

I also encountered this problem, but I translated my documents and bank statement and attached a photo to them and in Photoshop I wrote to them that I had a problem with the documents for the English language account and they accepted everything

That’s weird. Maybe they decided to change this recently because I am also from Brazil and I validated my account with my bank statement and it was written in portuguese. I also think they have a support for Brazilian players, so, it’s really weird that they don’t accept your proof of address. Try to send a DM on 888poker Brazil Instagram page.

I've never seen an 'online purchase invoice' as being an acceptable proof of physical address (or proof of personal identification) for any online poker site. Perhaps this is what is causing problems for you.
