888 have started three "Triple Threat" PKOs on Sundays with an 11, 22 and 55 dollar buy-in. Place in the prizes in all 3 and you get "an extra $500".

Is that "extra $500" worthwhile at all to influence expectations or play? Or is it basically a gimmick since placing in all three prize would be extremely rare, like bookies running ACCA promotions to make more money from mugs.

Two weeks ago I managed to get a $22 ticket from a freeroll satellite, and last week an $11 one from a 10c R+A satellite. This week I didn't get any tickets, but there's a part of me that thinks if I ever manage to get a $55 ticket then it may be worth buying the $11 and $22 even though its out of my bankroll Management expectations just to give it a go. Ideally even if I don't place I'll at least get some KOs from the PKO part anyway. Or is this a gimmick to not be tempted by?

My advise, follow bankroll management 100%,
I’ve gone from 0 to $100+ Back to under a dollar 4 times this year, plus playing 4 $109 ticket wins and many others…play what you can afford to lose, and just hope to win the freeroll entry or sat. games to these larger ones and hope for a decent cash.
Grinding from nothing is the worst;)

The chance of cashing in all 3 is probably somewhere around 1:200, so basically you get an extra 2,5$ of EV for a total buyin of 88$. Which is nice but not enough to forget about bankroll management or other tools for game selection. But of course if you are going to play the 55$ version anyway, and is bankrolled for that, it would be silly to not play the 22$ and 11$ versions at well, since now these are essentially rake free.

And if you are already lined up to cash in two of them, you obviously want to continue rebuying in the last one, as long as its possible. So this might also create some fun dynamic, where people gamble and rebuy more, and maybe they are softer than other events at the same buyin level because of all the satellites etc.

try to qualify with satellites in the 22 and 55, play during the week the tournament of a dollar to win a 5.50 ticket, I am not saying that it is easy to win many but it is a very achievable goal, and on Sunday try to qualify with those tickets won, it's really a very good promotion:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:
