I am quite a casual noob player who is mostly playing online time to time
I've started from 25$, currently 400$ purely playing blast so far.
But if I search online, there isn't much people who is playing only blast and they says it's pure gambling.
Is it really?
Anyone who is doing well only playing in blast?

Do you mean 888 Pokers version of Spin n Gos, which are called Blast? These give players such shallow stacks, that they are almost certainly unbeatable long term. You have enjoyed a sunrun, and I will advice you to take the 400$, you now have, and use it as a bankroll for some other poker format like MTTs, cash games or traditional SnGs on another site, since 888 Poker dont have these any more. If you continue playing Blast, there is a close to 100% chance, that all your money will be gone sooner or later.

Yes u built and u are about to build back if u continue to play them 😅.

What buy-ins and how many games did u play to go just like that from 25 to 400? As fundiver already said u were most likely absolutely sunrunning. We can probably add playing without any kind of brm to that.

Due to the high variance caused by the shallow stacks and hyper turbo blinds, you would have to have an insanely big edge in order to beat the rake in these games in the long term. This may be possible at the low stakes where a good percentage of the field is just having a bit of fun or punting off tickets they won in a giveaway, but in terms of growing a sizeable bank roll, Blast is not the way to go.

In all honesty, I'm impressed you managed to spin $25 into $400, but (and I don't mean to belittle your achievement) you may have just been on the good side of variance for a while, but I doubt that is sustainable in the long run, unless you really do have a massive edge.

I remember years ago there was a hyper turbo player on FullTilt who ran so good he made $8k in a month. He quit his full time job and was going to play poker full time. FT was skeptical of his results and suspended his account, but they eventually cleared him of any cheating. He went back to playing and he was no longer on the sunny side of variance and he lost his entire roll. The moral of the story is if you have an ROI well above the best players and you are not a world class player - your results wont last. You need a huge sample size in these fast format games for your ROI to be meaningful.

I prefer to build my bankroll playing tournaments and cash games. I think blast tables have too much luck involved, so, I only play them when I win free tickets.

I fully agree with the guys' statements - in the long run it is not profitable, especially on 888poker. I played there, like you, in the hope of improving my finances - but twice, within a few weeks, I lost all my funds. Now I sometimes play short SNG sessions on Pokerstars, and only to get a ticket. Enjoy such Success! I wish you to continue building your bankroll, but refraining from Blasts.

I've never played blast. But if you're playing a good role and nothing strange happens, I think everything is normal.

Yes, this format will lead you to 0 or minus in the long run because such formats are luck at 888 poker. This format is called blast played there many times and won there, but still for me it's a boring format and I love tournaments more than spin go and other tournaments

it is very tricky, you can win fast and a lot, but even faster and you can lose a lot more !

If you master the game well, you can have a chance to be profitable, but you must play at least 1000 spins per day. This is the strategy of the regulars, high volume and trying not to lose balance, the profit being mostly from rakeback

According to the sharkscope leaderboard there are no long term winning Spin n Go players on 888 Poker. And as I and others have said, this is because, they only give players 7.5BB as opposed to the 25BB, that are standard on other sites. The only player popping up on the SnG leaderboard for 2024 is someone called Pormal. However when I check his profile, he is someone, how used to grind traditional SnGs on 888 Poker and has now moved to MTTs. There is no record of him winning anything in the BLAST Spin n Gos. If fact he is down a bit in these games.

Blast, I've started from 1$ and moved up to 2$, 5$, nowadays starting to play 5, 10$ 10 times and moves up to 20$.
I think I've played like 50 around match per day

I think I am a bit ADHD and cannot be patient enough to play few hours of same table somehow... I just feels like I can really keep this up but seems most of the people think that it is not possible to make any money from blast

Right, I felt like sometimes I lose in a row again and again depends on mindset, it must be totally possible that someone beat the game well for a while and ends up straight losing from some point

It seems I have played around 1000 matches so far. I climbed up by starting from 10c, 1$, 2$, 5$... and slowly building up.
I somehow still feels like I can continue, but it seems no one believe that it is possible to keep this going.
I think I may change game if I drop to 200$ below

Very nice man. I actually thought u deposited a bit and went straight to 5 dollar games or above.

Did u hit a high multiplier along the way?

For Sit and Go of this type, you need a bankroll. I think 500 buy-ins should suffice. While you can earn here, I believe the variance is much higher than in MTTs or cash games.
