Do You Use the PokerStars Player Color Labels? How?

Basically wondering what the title says. How do you assign the colors based on different player types? Curious to see what your systems are

Hi, I have used the colours several times, and each time I have to redownload the pokerstars software, for reasons not my fault, I lose all the colour codings...
so i was forced to use them more simply, and less often for basic info...
green means the opponent may raise with not so much.
yellow means we have a "textbook" player.
red means we have a narrow range raiser to beware of.
Knowing a persons colour coding is a valuable info source, if you can ever get to see it...
UNFORTUNATELY, this info is only accessible by the operators of the sites...and is the main reason that stars is thinking about having anonymous players on the table so nobody gets recognized.

Great thanks . I use different shades of blue for calling stations and red for agressive maniacs lol. Orange for solid players. But I feel like there aren't quite enough colors for all the player type variations.

I am completely against annonymous players. Period. Poker is meant to be played with real people . People make mistakes , those mistakes are noted in love play and used against them. We should always be allowed the same online.

I don't use anything. I have a Client as he is. As I was given and work. Today I visited him as a fish, and lost to him, will have to mark myself as a superfish.

I keep it pretty simple

Nit = Yellow
Green = Fish
Orange = Tag
Purple = Lag
Red = Aggressive

Thanks Fvendal. I am aware of the player types . I think my issue is i want the color codes to be way too specific lol. Ie: calling station that occasionally does totally stupid bluff. Or delayed cbet guy. Or compulsive 3 bettor. All in maniac with 2 broadways or any Ace. All in with high pocket pairs guy. Never folds guy vs. Fit or fold guy. That kinda stuff... And I simply dont have enough colors lol. I guess I could simplify it haha. But I feel that these distinctions are far too important. I suppose I could be usinng a hud but then I'm cheating myself out of the mental excercise of keeping track of 8 player's tendencies.

I use only one color of labels, green I mark chips which play any cards, call a bet with small pairs, in general green are telephone stations )) against such it is better not to bluff )))

I started using colors recently. It all depends on your perception. But remember that making a mark once, you can make a mistake in the future.

Ye thats far to specific for colour codes that's why you have colour codes for player types then take individual notes on any player specific reads or tendencies of each player.

I only use three colors : good players, crazy players, and fishies.

To identify different types of players, I use a label of only one color - this is yellow. This color indicates the note made to the player.

Yes, I do use color-coding at every room I play. It's essential. For the following categories:

Four fish categories:

• Call station (loose-passive)
• Aggro-Fish (loose-aggressive)
• Elephant (aka Nit, a super tight player with top range)
• Monkey (aka Maniac, over-loose-aggressive fish, usually doesn't know what he is doing at all, just betting everything)

Two shark categories:

• Shark (aka very good regular)
• Mediocre regular (not too bad, but has a lot of leaks)

Two special categories for unknown, but been checked on sharkscope:

• Seems to be winning player
• Seems to be losing player

I guess that was it.
The rest info is at notes.

I do not use any label. I consider that a player does not have the same style of play every time and is influenced by the tournament, by the opponents, by the mood of the moment. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to tag but maybe that tag can do you more harm than good so I prefer to look at the style of the game opponent at the time.

You can put notes about specifics of each player.
