PokerStars was my favourite place to play at. It’s where I have made all my deposits. But never again. They have now restricted my deposits and withdrawals saying I had some sort of association with a player I’ve never even heard about. I emailed and said I know nothing about that player. 10 days later they reinstated my deposit and withdrawal privileges. I made at least 5 more deposits no problem, then when I won and wanted to cash out, I can’t. They once again say everything is suspended because of some made up association I have with that same player. I messaged them again explaining my frustrations and confusion as to why this is happening again and 3 days later I get a email saying the same bull***t but with a different random players name.... so frustrating and disappointing.
What am I supposed to do? Just move on cause they clearly don’t care?? Ugh

talk friend turn around tell me what they told you about the secret player they don't like because they give you the ability to transfer money to other players and even create home games with friends

all players who play pokerstars are more or less connected
are you doing something unusual that they don't like you can tell us don't be afraid there are no police here just friends

Do you have any idea at all, why they think, you are associated with another player? Which of course would be a violation of game integrety. So its not like, we dont want poker sites to carry out this kind of scrutiny. Could it be, that you are playing from the same IP adress as someone else? I have played on PokerStars for many years, made several withdrawals and never had a similar issue. So its not like, this is something, that happen to everyone. I hope, you eventually get it sorted out.

Post all the emails between u and them and ur recent p2p transfer history.

Thats ur only way to get any credibility and potential help, especially as a more or less new account without posting history. Pokerstars is a very reputable online site and in general they dont do that stuff for no reason.

Yes you're right. They definitely don't care. Even if there is a mistake and it's not your fault, they still don't care. Unfortunately, most poker sites have this attitude towards players, but PokerStars is particularly capricious in this context.

I make transfers with one other player, my fiancé. I have never sent or received one from anybody else. And I have never created or played in a home game with friends. ( not even really sure what that’s about, first time hearing of that)... I have however ended up at the same table as my fiancé maybe a handful of times. We do play a lot, but this has been over the course of a year approximately.

I can appreciate what you’re saying. And yes. I do play from the same IP address as someone, my fiancé. And they have raised there concerns , I think primarily because we transfer money back and forth, and as much as hassle as that has been, I’m not complaining about that. It’s understandable.

My issue is with all the restrictions (which has been multiple times now over associations with players I’ve never had any knowledge of.... it’s possible I’ve been seated at tables with them before but that was random and I have no memory of it. I play with thousands of players in tournaments.

Then I think, its kind of obvious, why they might think, its actually the same person playing from both accounts AKA multiaccounting. Or even worse that you are colluding, if you play on the same tables. It might not be breaking any rules, but you could have saved yourself from all of this by playing on different sites or at least avoid sending money back and forth between your accounts.

yes, that's the reason why they didn't like it, because sending money to someone and then playing at the same table (even if it happens by accident) I know from experience that they don't like it
probably when you created the accounts you both had the same address and the same last name

But pokerstars require some actions to validate that you are not cheating, after that you can play and cash out without problems, But until this happen the time will be frustrating. Be patient.
Good luck.

Hopefully you get it sorted, but obviously 2 players playing from the same IP at the same table is going to arouse suspicion, so it seems perfectly reasonable for them to investigate.

You said in original post that you were accused of having an association with a player you had not even heard about so I guess that is not you fiancee. What I think I would do is tell them you play at same IP address as another player and give them that players nick and then see what they say.

This is clearly fraudulent activity on your part, you haven’t told everything, and they allow different players to play from the same IP address; they play poker with whole families.

you can play with another 7 players in the table, if one player (maybe a blind person) are playing against you, these player gonna win in the long therm

I don't quite understand their logic, that is, they allow you to play on their website, but you cannot withdraw the money you won!!! Everything looks somehow strange!!!

Did you play from some public places where other players could play in past too on the same IP ?

Jokerstars is a nightmare of a place to put your money in . The bad beats are more than winning hands.

My ex-girlfriend also played poker, so I asked pokerstars for an answer on what they think if two players play from the same IP.
Then their reaction was that it's no problem if we don't compete in the same tournament and don't sit at the same table in a cash game.
We played for several years and never had a problem.

Exactly, they don't care and maybe they won't even make the slightest effort to see if this isn't just some mistake on their part.

Pokerstars acts militantly with its policies and its administrators are blind to this, decadence is certain.

Im not sure how their RNG works, but you can't slowplay a good or monster hand cause you will get a badbeat very often. PS doesnt feels like poker anymore... actually for past like 7 years.

Thanks for sharing this information. It makes a lot of sense, that you need to play in different games to avoid any suspicion about potential collusion. The other potential problem might be using the accounts in a way, that makes them think, it is the same person playing from both. Like maybe playing the same games but only one account at a time, transferring money between accounts, and so on and so forth.

pokerstars has been in decline for years... in recent times it has been more noticeable. I had also made all my deposits and withdrawals on that platform, but since last year I stopped doing so. greetings and good hands.
