There is currently a promo on WPTG where they will match a $20 deposit through Luxon Pay by adding another $20 to your account within 72 hours. Promo is live until April 26. 1x turnover requirement to withdraw the funds, which is standard.

I am giving it a try and just letting you all know my experience with it.

Luxon Pay setup is fairly normal for a money transfering site. I couldn't use a credit card to add funds (I think Canada blocks this), so it was Interac money request to put funds in. Luxon takes 2.5% to convert the money to USD in order to deposit onto WPTG.

Deposit was completed successfully, now waiting to see when the matching $20 is added.

Let me tell you how it goes. I wanna know the fees etc.

I was gonna do it but I feel like with all the currency fees I am doubtful it will be worth it.

Too much of a hassle for me to sign up to another service just for $20.

It's not much of a hassle. Took me less than 5 minutes to get it set up.

Both true, it's easy to make account but the hassle from making new accounts comes in form of sketchy terms of services. I don't have experiences with LuxonPay, I think it's trusted so likely no worries but in general weird e-payment systems and companies are owned by parent companies that sell your data to weird places.

I had some information leaked most likely by Skrill partner promotion or something like that once to scammers. The scammers seemed intelligent which made me fearful. This was only one time thing and Skrill has been good for me otherwise, perfect actually. I can't even guarantee it was Skrill but the scammers did reference information that seemed to match my Skrill account behavior

Yeah, I constantly get daily text messages to sign up at some online casinos. They include my name and city (and they have my phone number). So I think some poker site or casino that I signed up for, sold or had their data stolen.

Already blew my deposited $20. Today, got my $20 cash matched by WPTG. The promotion works. Stay tuned to see if I end up withdrawing any of it.

Rough. $20 in modern poker isn't that much, super micro games are dead. Better luck with the bonus money!

Have you calculated how much did you end up paying in hidden currency exchange fees throughout the process?

Yes it's not great.

$34 Canadian to put $22 US on the site (I put a bit more than required).

If it was just straight conversion, $22 US is $30 Canadian. So I am already down $4 Canadian / $3 US before I started.

So -4 $ in total because of the currency exchange upon depositing. Extremely worthwhile that whole thing it seems....

It's -$4 if you piss away the $20. For me, I don't have the patience to grind away. This was just a quick thing to try and unfortunately I didn't run good.

But for anyone else that can just run even, it's going to be about +$12. Or if nothing else then just almost double your deposit to just play.

Why so negative for free cash? It's not like you.

This was actually not correct since now I am checking on Luxon Pay and I still have $1.92 left. So I probably just forgot about that. I will have to update my numbers once I get the withdrawal processed.

Yeah no rush ❤️ complete numbers are the best. I assume both deposit to Luxon Pay first then from there to WPT Global take fees. Withdrawals probably take fees too if Luxon Pay doesn't have USD Balance directly.

Ok, here are the numbers and (losses to fees):

CDN$34 sent via Interac to Luxon Pay
CDN$33 received in Luxon Pay (-$1)

CDN$31.08 exchanged to US$22 on April 18
Exchange rate on that day was 0.7258. (-$0.56)

US$22 went to WPTG

I lost US$22 at the tables.

I got US$20 bonus which I turned over and withdrew $20.67 today

US$20.67 showed up in Luxon Pay account on same day.

US$20.67 converted to CDN$27.51 (-$0.56)

Overall $2.12 lost to fees.

You need a minimum of 20 euros or equivalent (about CDN$32.15) to withdraw from Luxon Pay, so I am currently short. However, withdrawal straight to the bank is supposed to be free of any fees.

I am going to send this amount to a different poker site instead and play a few games there instead of depositing more to Luxon Pay at this time.

I took CAD$28.75 and deposited it through Luxon Pay to Party Poker. No currency exchange required and so there were no fees for this. I played Fast Fold games and turned that amount into CAD$35.68. Now that amount is coming back in a withdrawal to Luxon Pay. It should take 3-5 days and we will see how the withdrawal back to my bank goes after that.

I believe it's only for the first deposit; friends of mine made the deposit and didn't receive it.

Yes, first Luxon Pay deposit only as shown in the link. It doesn't have to be the first deposit ever, just first one done with Luxon Pay.

Well, well. Hit the first snag in this process and it is with withdrawing from Luxon Pay. Tried to use Interac withdrawal and it failed. Currently trying to get an answer why.

Keep in mind that if you deposit with Luxon, your next withdrawal should also be there, that's why I won't. 🫡

From the FAQ:

No, you must first deposit at least €20 or equivalent into your Luxon Pay account before you are able to withdraw money.

Maybe you need to deposit more.

No, it was actually because I had to link both my email and my phone number to my Luxon Pay account, whereas to deposit I only needed my e-mail. It went through once I linked my phone number.

That's it - money has been received back in my bank account via Interac e-transfer. The withdrawal did not have a fee. So there you have it. Free US $20 for whoever wants it with this promo minus about $2.15 in fees.

Well, the idea is deposit, turn over the amounts, withdraw and then make another deposit with your usual method.
