I entered after a while on a platform that had money and found that due to inactivity the money was confiscated, what do you think about this?

It must be sad. But I think if you contact the support service and can tell them the amount of money that was on the balance in your account, then they should return your funds to you.
I hope they will return them to you.

Check out the site's terms and conditions and see if inactivity is addressed anywhere. Unfortunately it probably is...

I hope it was only a small amount of money. Good luck.

They can put this in T&C but there's no legal basis for taking someone's funds for inactiviy so it wouldn't mean anything that this paragraph might exist.
That's just illegal simple as that.

So how long you would have to stay away from whatever site for such measures to be taken place
3 months? 6? 9? 12 months? Or more than one year ?!?

It is pretty common, that sites require customers to log on with some regularity like at least every 12 month for the account to remain active. Normally they will contact the customer in advance before closing an account, but maybe OP did not see the email? It does seem weird though, if his account was still active but the funds missing. Maybe OP could inform us:

a) which site he is talking about
b) the amount of money, that was missing
c) If he ever made a deposit, or if the money came solely from bonuses and freeroll winnings

Yes inactive account may be normal but missing funds not.
But I aggree this thread needs more input of the OP

I think this is certainly wrong, but I think that when contacting the support service, the money should be returned. I don't play at some poker rooms, but I have money there and to avoid blocking my account, I just sometimes go to these rooms.

This is not the right decision of poker rooms, since a player may be in the hospital with a fracture for more than a year, he was admitted to a mental hospital for treatment, the player could suddenly die from an illness or he was killed, there are a lot of such accounts, all funds, as far as I understand, remain with poker rooms.

Incorrect.
It is quite common (or was quite common) for sites to apply an 'administration fee' to an account that has been inactive for 'x' amount of time. That amount of time varied between sites that were (are) doing this.
I know that some site on the iPoker network did this (ie bet365). I believe Partypoker did too. It wouldn't surprise me if 888Poker still does this.
I actually just received an email the other day, letting me know that my account will be inactive for a period of 365days in the next 10days. (that was SportsBetting << I keep telling myself I am going to play on there one day)

In the last acceptance of terms and conditions it was written. Basically it said, if you don't play, we'll take your money away. Sad but real, and if you don't accept those terms they won't let you play either. That's how democratic PS is

Regardless what we think of this, its pretty easy to avoid the situation. If we dont intend to play on a site for the foreseable future, there is no point in having funds sitting there. So just withdraw them. If we decide to play again, its usually very easy to make a new deposit. And if the amount is to small to withdraw, like 7$ or whatever, then just kiss it goodbuy. Or spend it on something before leaving the site. A sportsbet, the casino or some final tournaments. Anything.

Many sites have had this policy and it is a horrible one if you ask me. I think it is just an easy way to take funds from people who have died instead of giving them to the estate and heirs of the owner. And getting a little from the absentminded as well.

I don't think they'll miss the 30cents, do you?

Of course this is not correct, but I think many poker players had a notification that you should have agreed to or read and clarify for yourself about poker activity at pokerstars. I think many people signed this and ticked it and read it and it says that you need to be active or withdraw funds but this is very bad

You could still sue them for taking your money.
They aren't monarchs they don't make the laws .
There might be an argue for a fee for long inactivity but taking someone's funds is criminal
They can refer to their T&C as much as they want of it's against the law it doesn't mean anything
.
Also we don't know if it's Pokerstars, the OP didn't say which room

It's hard to say anything at all because there isn't enough information available but what I know is that with some poker sites if you haven't been on the site for a long time that they collect the money but don't keep it when the player comes back then he can claim his money back, but of course what questions remain unanswered which site and how much it is and so on. But no matter how or what it would be nice to hear how things went on and whether the author who wrote this topic wrote to support and what they said.

This is just wrong; it should be your choice when you play or don't play with your own money.
