Is it true that PartyPoker is closed for Ukraine, and why???
They banned quite a few countries..Aleksandr1991 said:Is it true that PartyPoker is closed for Ukraine, and why???
Yes i mean the obvious answer here would be that they do this because of regulations.iwont20 said:Yeah, Party was closed for Russia and Belarus last year. And for Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan it stops offering games since Jan 30 this year. It has to do with their aim to operate only in legal markets.
Entain holding which owns Party was announcing that by the end of 2023 "100% of its revenue would come from markets that are nationally regulated". And that they will accelerate this process by exiting its few remaining markets where "there is no clear path to market liberalization via domestic regulation".nairolph87 said:Y

BUT: they also leave markets where they could operate or lets say where other, big sites still operate. Partypoker is the only site im aware of that basically leaves every market possible very quick.
For example Austria, Croatia and Costa Rica (if i remember correctly) i mean Croatia and Austria why? They are still on stars and stars cares about regulations too🤔Makes no sense to me tbh.
The ukrainian market was probably just not profitable for them anymore. I doubt a lot of deposits come from there atm and this was probably just a "business decision" by party.
Thanks, interesting article. Looks like more countrys will follow soon 😥 if i read that correctly.iwont20 said:Entain holding which owns Party was announcing that by the end of 2023 "100% of its revenue would come from markets that are nationally regulated". There is for sure a way to get ur money. First step would be to contact support: [email protected]veltins said:In japan too they are closed , my 310 bucks struck there as cant withdraw my funds from there
I had 72$ in Party Poker and I lost that money because I had no way of withdrawing it when they decided to leave my country. Not saying this happens to everybody, but it did happen to me. (I think most people can withdraw their funds, but it depends on where they live).nairolph87 said:There is for sure a way to get ur money. First step would be to contact support: [email protected]
only because sites are leaving certain markets does not mean they will not pay out. And as you can see party is following those laws very strictly.
There has to be more to this story, almost 0 percent chance that they just decided to keep ur money.
Was there a deadline fir withdraws? Was ur account already verified? Tell us more please and post mails with them. otherewise its just baseless accusations.
Exactly. I honestly don't understand their actions.nairolph87 said:Im not sure what they want to accomplish by that. People who still play there will either not care or just leave because of the decreasing player pool 🤔 i never met someone who likes to play on a site only because they seem super trustworthy because they are not operating in certain markets😳

It's both funny and sad now to remember how a few years ago PartyPoker's new management was so eager to become the first room and "the people's" room. How Rob Yong was very engaged in communication with players. Well it is what it is. Now they will become a niche room similar to ipoker skins.nairolph87 said:Thanks, interesting article. This site will slowly die imo. And they do a good job speeding up this process.
Well before the pandemic there were already rumors about it here in Brazil, however it is still operating.nairolph87 said:Thanks, interesting article. Looks like more countrys will follow soon 😥 if i read that correctly.

Yup.. I really can only imagine they act according on how much money a country generates for them . That has nothing to do with regulation...iwont20 said:It's both funny and sad now to remember how a few years ago PartyPoker's new management was so eager to become the first room and "the people's" room. Sad news. I also received a message by mail that my PartyPoker account will be blocked. Very sad, I liked playing on this site. I wonder what the reason for this decision is.Aleksandr1991 said:Is it true that PartyPoker is closed for Ukraine, and why???
Obviously they can run their business, any way they want (as long as its legal), and they are not obliged to share their ideas or strategy with either customers or competitors. But that being said volume on PartyPoker is already quite low according to PokerScout, so leaving a lot of markets thus decreasing volume further will make the site less attractive to play on, since it will get even more difficult to find action in cash games or SnGs, and the MTTs will need to have their guaranties cut further. So its not completely insane to be somewhat sceptical about, weather poker will even be a part of PartyPoker in the future, or if maybe they will just become an online casino and sportsbetting site. But again its up to them.Poker Orifice said:Whatever the reasons are for the recent closures/ markets left by Party, I'm pretty sure their staff have a clue as to what they're doing when it comes to business.
Do you play on Partypoker? Pretty sure it's not difficult to find action in SnG's. They've had a SnG Leaderboard running on there for more than a year now, where you'd need to play ~180 to 200 games to get onto it. They stopped the LB's above $20 but for games $20 & under they are busier than anywhere else I've checked (although I don't check into SnG's very often).fundiver199 said:it will get even more difficult to find action in cash games or SnGs,
No.Poker Orifice said:Do you play on Partypoker?
But that might change, when they now pull out of markets, which must account for a big percentage of their volume.Poker Orifice said:Pretty sure it's not difficult to find action in SnG's.
