Hello CardChat family! 👋

I've been playing and learning at 888poker for a while — I like microlimits and freerolls — but lately I've been seriously considering switching to GGPoker.

I have heard a lot of buzz about the variety of games and GG promotions: formats like All-In or Fold, Mystery Bounty, Battle Royale... and especially the huge weekly freerolls. For example, starting in October 2025, GGPoker introduced a free weekly freeroll for $100,000, which you can get into by getting tickets earned on daily freerolls or by playing 1,000 cash giveaways.

But I have a question — and I'd love to hear from those of you who've already switched to GG or tried it:

How big is the microlimit traffic compared to 888?

Are freerolls really available, or are they mostly for individual players/regions?

What is the quality of the game: tougher rules, softer games or something like that?

Have you noticed a significant period of adaptation when changing platforms?

For me, the idea of trying new formats and trying new possibilities is exciting. But I'm also loyal to 888 — the games there seem soft and comfortable. I'm weighing whether it's worth transitioning or maybe I should just stay where I am and focus on mastering what I know.

So a question to all of you:
👉 If you switched from one site to another (especially from 888 to GG), what did you gain — or lose?
👉 Would you recommend this transition, or would you advise creating more on your current site first?

Thank you all in advance for your thoughts!
Let's help each other make smarter decisions about the platform and continue to level up. 🚀🃏

Any traffic regardless of stakes is higher at GG than in any room.
You can play Mtts for 2,50$ where the 1st place gets 900-1000$ for example...
I think it's a softer field which in my opinion is only natural because they have the highest numbers of players.

GG has 200k-300k players online in avg.
At the weekend they often reach over 500K

I was never a fan of 888 since their process of validation and withdrawal is tiresome and frustrating.
Plus their support...well the word support is an oxymoron itself .

Why not keep both?
You can easily try GG and there is no need to deposit more than the minimum amount since you are a beginner.

888 is a fading poker site. I would suggest playing both if you are able to withdraw money successfully from 888. There are still lots of good freerolls and decent paid tournaments to participate in. Can't say the same for their cash games, but sometimes they have some life too.

I agree with this 888 is no longer what it was. The traffic for micros on GG is much larger and you also have access to wsop events plus much higher guarantees on the tournaments.

GG is currently making it very lucrative to play on their platform with a lot of promotions. Especially the Halloween promotion, where you receive a bonus for 10 black Jakes, etc. They are very clever in keeping players on their side.

I actually play on both platforms, 888 and GG, and try to get the best out of both sides. The Daily Present on GG is worth at least picking up and playing every day. Just with these, it is possible for a good player to generate 5–10 dollars a month. Sometimes, with a bit of luck, you can earn even more with high bounties in the Mystery Bounty or with a very high multiplier in the Spins.

If I were you, I would definitely give GG Poker a try; what's stopping you from signing up for free there?

There's nothing to compare it to. ggpoker is currently the world's top online poker site by a huge margin. They offer loyal support and cryptocurrency withdrawals, something that's completely absent from 888. Resolving any support issue takes months, and withdrawals take days.

Why switch , you should join all available pokersites to profit from welcome bonuses and have acces to more freebies .
Just remember after honeymoon period is over , GG is a bad site to put your own money in .

Make use of welcome bonuses you are guarantueed some profit .

I thinks it's a really good decision. Both sites are alike anyway and focussing your forces on one site only is maybe better so you can put more time into it. Plus, you can use both parellely; there is only an issue sometimes on 888Poker where you need to wait five minutes before you can play on when ypoue were logged in into GGPoker previously.
