The debate about AI in poker has moved from theory to reality. With programs like Cepheus and Libratus, and now accessible training solutions like PokerSnowie and PioSolver, the question is no longer whether AI can beat us, but what that means for the future of the game. šŸ¤”

It could destroy online poker, I would not want to play against a high functioning AI controlled bot,or a AI run HUD,why would a mere mortal ever want to play, that is just another reason why there never ever should have allowed HUDs or any other artificial helpers,in my humble view that is not how poker is supposed to be played, still makes me chuckle with all the people using HUDs if all of a sudden they were banned how would they function,to me it is cheating and it would be a better poker world if nobody got any outside help,I would like online to be as close to a live game as possible, that means no helpers plain and simple :)

Hello, I sincerely believe that AI will never surpass humans in this regard. But they should find a way to ban it so as not to distort the game. Let's be honest, who hasn't played a perfect tournament and still lost? AI can make the best moves, but a bad player can match with a 42nd and win.

Not if the AI had learned what the next card will be,we dont know just how smart it will become ,it is what we all fear that it will surpass any human thinking, at this point the only answer is we dont know that why it should never be allowed until we do:unsure:

If a site allows HUDs, then everyone can use the same tools. If it doesn’t allow them, it blocks them. Simple. Poker isn’t dying because of technology; it only dies where rules aren’t enforced. Anyone who wants a ā€˜live‑style’ game can play on platforms that ban all assistance.I prefer to play without any assistance and I don’t bother with it. For me, that’s real freedom in the game, especially when the decisions are yours, not AI’s.

I believe that AI can be a good tool for learning poker, such as studying hands and strategies. But during real games, she shouldn't be allowed. Poker must still be based on human decisions, psychology, and adaptation to opponents. If the sites control the bots well, the game can still remain fair and fun.
