Pokerstars update failed

For a few days now, when starting the PS Client on my iMac, I've been getting the error message "Connecton to Updater App has been lost (Error code: -2/-58).
The option “Using Existing Software Version” is displayed.
Pokerstars support couldn't help and just said I should use a different device.
Does anyone have an idea how I could solve the problem?
I've already tried reinstalling and I get this error message.

the advice is that it will just go away by itself over time, of course, this may be the case, but if a new update is released then yes you should just install eu poker if it does not work, then poker com try other options because different devices need different versions, try it may help

You need to run it with admin rights.
On mac open console and type:

1. sudo visudo
2. sudo installer -store -pkg "/User/MyName/Desktop/pokerstars.pkg" -target / ( insert user/ your username/Desktop (Schreibtisch) / filename)

make sure the Ps installer is in fact on your desktop.
alternatively just put your location of the Ps app in the console command.
The first option is easier I think

Update: I've been able to solve the problem.
The update application hung up and after I forcibly stopped it in the activity display, everything worked the next time I started the software.
