Looks like it will be a fun and exciting year for the youthful Reds this year. They have a lot of young . I hope their pitching staff stays healthy. I'm not sure what to think of the bullpen, but the starters could be solid.

Any other Reds fans around? Baseball fans? How do you feel about the Reds chances of success this year?

It doesn't seem like a candidate to me, it's a very normal team, they won't go far, there are many better teams, but hey, if it's your team, good luck

I'm betting on MLB already 2 season and very successfully (stats in my signature). I will continue my MLB betting, but after the end of the NBA season. As for Cincinnati's chances, it's hard to say anything yet. I think we'll get some answers as the season progresses. :)

I guess I quit cheering for them when the expos enter the league but 50 years ago I was a big fan of the big red machine and I could still probably come up with their most common batting order but they didnt seem to have as memorable pitchers

That was a bit before my time but I enjoyed my father telling me stories about them and learning about the team's history. My dad was at the Red's old stadium, Crosly Field to see Hank Aaron get his 3000th hit! Thanks for the reply and the good memories of my father's stories.

ok i googled and it was george foster but seven out of eights not too bad after 50 years I think he might have batted ahead of griffey. I can still visualize rose and his scrunched down style and perez pumping his elbow and morgan really had a unique approach at the plate

Nice! I remember seeing some of George Foster's stats and he seems to be underrated. He had some phenomenal seasons!
